Makes sense. For the legitimacy of the competition they can't be played at Epping (if they make it, and I think they will).
Might be a bit hard logistically. With Div1,2 and 3 and only 2 days its going to be hard to play all games at preston each weekend.

Watched pingers yesterday. To big, to strong , to disciplined. Their game plan was far better. They had Moore running around doing what he wanted. A spare man dropping back in front of Harrison and souths didn't bother manning him up. Souths still have a lot of kids running around and with the strong body of Harrison taken out of the game they relied on their small men to get goals. they didn't have another genuine leading forward. their other recruit crump was running around in the magoos. Im guessing coming back from an injury cause he kicked 6 and was a class above them and kicked 5 against us first round.
We had bigger bodies all over the ground as wells as more outside speed.
Playing them on our home ground in the finals will be a big advantage.
With the team we have available all credit to the coach.
Definitely had it all over souths coach who seems to throw guys all over the place with no plan.
Need more avenues to goals. Too many entries directed to Harro. Will be costly cone finals time. Their 19s on top of div 2 ladder with big scores and goal kickers a plenty. May need to inject a few soon into ones. My boys Watsy just motoring along without too much fanfare...

Resa beaten again finals looking a bit shaky
Certainly a confidence booster for Banyule with a strong win over Reservoir on the back of a remarkable 2nd quarter surge. Some interesting tactics employed on Gumbleton late in the game - unfortunately he will probably be a target for the less talented.

Watsonia have been excellent. How far can they go? They haven't been smashed in their losses to South Morang, could the Wats perhaps do the unthinkable and find themselves in a GF?

Have only played Morang once at watsonia and lost by 9 goals?

And your point is/?? I cant imagine the WAFL accepting a player for 1 game...
As noted, "guns for hire" like Fevola, Tarrant, Campbell Brown et al do it regularly during the season. As long as the respective clubs agree there is no restriction up to 30 June when clearances close.
The $64 question is, is there one lodged to come back the other way ??

Another big game this week with the other two probably easier to select, with the home teams all given the nod:

Reservoir vs Watsonia. The Mustangs were disappointing last week while the Saints are on a massive roll but may be stopped in their tracks.
Epping vs St Marys. The Blues should bounce back from last week's loss and add more misery to the Sainters.
South Morang vs West Heidelberg. Can't see the Hawks upsetting the Lions but do expect a close game.

Round 12 Tips
Reservoir vs Watsonia - The Mustangs would of been disappointed with last week. They will be keen to put a 3 game buffer on the finals contenders below them this week, but Watsy will be just as keen to stay in the top 2. Will be a great contest and hard to split. With the two Meroli boys out for Resa and Bennett back in for the Saints, I will back Watsy to get home by the narrowest of margins! Wats by 1 pt
Epping vs St.Marys- The performance last week by the Pingers showed they will be hard to beat at the business end of the season if they can produce that 4 quarters of football consistently. Burra will give a contest, but the Epping big names starting to fire now and should account for them comfortably. Epping by 28 pts
Sth Morang vs Heid West - The Lions will be filthy on last week and sure to rebound strongly against the Hawks, who will unfortunately be on the receiving end of it. Lions by 65 pts

Burra beat Epping? Weird competition

Epping struggling to play consistent football. Has to be the mental application because you don't beat Sth Morang twice and then struggle to kick 50 pts against Burra the following week. Bigger worry for them is Resa's great win over Wats. The Mustangs would seem to have the Blues covered on previous encounters and might mean a very early exit for the Pingers come finals!
Will be interesting to see what the Saints dish up to Sth Morang this week, but you would think they will need to come up with something out of the box to seriously challenge them. Resa on the other hand with Darby playing the game he did on Saturday could seriously push the Lions in the finals. Unfortunately we don't see them clash again in the H&A games. Epping could also be threat if they can sort out their inconsistent performances.
All makes for a great finals series to come!

Anybody know what is going on with Gumbleton? I see Banyule denied the transfer to WA (not sure if this was request for one off game or he is returning home permanently?). Is there an issue?
