I can only go by what I've seen on a couple of highlights videos of Schache and Francis, but to be honest I wouldn't even mind that much if we ended up with Francis. There just looks to be something about him. Looks like he's got a good range of skills, balance and decent size already and could potentially start in best 22 straight away. Looks a bit like an upgraded Lachie Henderson

Watson will be de-listed. I think they have to take Schache. They do already have Jaksch who hasn't been great but looks like a backmen.

I think you are forgetting the incredible Liam Jones, KPF superstar, best pick up during the off season...

Not as tall and much more mobile than Henderson.....

A super talent. You can guarantee the Crows and Port will start working on him the moment he arrives here (if we pick him).

Still you'd have to go Shache. We need an elite KP prospect.

Keays could be very good AFL player but Blacky was a champion - elite in all respects.

My statement was in reference to him playing up forward as that 1st and 2nd key forward. Maybe he can play as the third tall that pinch hits in the ruck.

Not really. One is predominantly an inside player and the other outside.

I think that's a reference to his signature playing style - smooth moving, organised, wide vision quick hands - rather than an estimate on his ability.

Personally I see a bit of Robert Harvey in the bits I've seen but I'm not penciling two Brownlows in just yet.

I think we've all seen thousands of footballers over the years but it's hard to think outside the 20 all time champions + the best 15 playing now when it comes to comparisons. "He's a young Fyfe/Brown/Pendlebury/Harvey".


Plus you might be bang on by saying 'Ben Keays is a Todd Viney 2.0' but still get a blank look from half the crowd.

who would you relate him to currently playing?

From what I have seen he reminds me of Robbie Gray. Just a few things like his tenacity towards the ball, inside winning ability and also his ability to Impact the scoreboard. I heard Schwab liken him to Terry Wallace in that he just turns up to play no matter where. Was only a kid when Wallace played so others here might be able to show the comparison.
