Played all of his Junior footy at CHF...can play F or B and big body Mid ..like Roughead. He will be a 100Kg plus man without weights and has his head screwed on. Mum and Dad really nice family oriented people.

People do realise that all of the AFL Academy players get billeted out to a team for a week to train in an AFL environment the pre season before their draft year yeah? Its fairly random in who goes where. The fact that he was sent to us doesn't imply that we're likely to draft him fyi.

How is his athleticism though? From the footage I have seen he is a tier above his opponents just reads the ball so well. A true footy brain. A 100kg mid sounds game breaking. Look at the lads legs...FFS never seen calves that big on a 18 year old ever not even young wannabe body builders.

Calves are for heifers. It's the thighs that count.

There's Weitering and Weideman. Jacob Weitering is the Key Defender tipped to go at pick 1 and Samuel Weideman is a tall forward who at this stage is a likely late first/early second round pick. Just thought I'd mention it because people might get confused.

Good to see Keays and Wagner played well. McKay for the Gippsland Power looks like he is continuing to rise up the rankings as a tall forward

You have to back yourself in to retain the talent you draft. Unless he says he doesn't want to leave home then draft him if he's the best.

Having said that.... I don't think we'll have the first pick. I think pick 2-4 more likely. History suggests we'll get better as the season continues.

In serious I can't see us finishing last now especially with Carltank and MM past track record of tanking. I still think we will finish bottom 4 though

Weitering is IMO exactly what we need either forward or back. Gun KPPs are almost always taken in the top 10 of a draft excluding FS.
