So Reuben and Paine. Feel for Chol but who knows, mature agers are taken these days.
Never in a million years would I have thought this draft would have turned out t be this exciting. WAs going in with expectations of a Schache, Hipwood and Keays draft but to come out with Mathieson and Skinner also is just amazing. I could see this going down as arguably the greatest draft of our clubs history.
Actually when you factor in the past few years of drafting and trading does any club (barring expansion sides) compete with the amount of talent across all positions that we have managed to bring in? It has set us up for the next 10 years and we now have our next premiership side.

We've got 3 spots, 2 after we re-draft Paine.
We're allowed 6 category A rookies and we have 3 at the moment - Hammelmann, Beasley, Evans.
Cian doesn't count as category A , neither does Archie as a zone player. We're allowed up to 3 category B rookies.

totally agree with everything you said. hope i'm not getting caught up in the hype too much.
You only get 4 cat. A rookie spots if you have 38 on your senior list. With 40 on our senior list, we only get 4 cat. A rookie spots.

what a bloody rollercoaster, jumped in around pick 30 while i was driving and realised hibberd, balic and bonner were still there and was very excited, one by one they all left and i let out a big eff you along the free way, pleasant surprise when mathison was still there.
would have loved to have got either of those three but mathison isnt the worst get (i realise im spelling his name wrong)

If William and Chol were white, they both would be drafted. Fair to say that we need to see some Sudanese players make it at AFL level from the rookie draft before clubs will be willing to select them in the National draft.
They have to nominate for the PSD though right?
