2015 Draft Discussion

It would seem Brisbane nailed this years draft, big time.

Rocky, Gardiner and Mathieson are going to have great fun together I reckon.

Schache, Hipwood, Keays, Mathieson, Skinner.

Offer that collection of players to any other club instead of their own selections and I reckon they would take it.

By any definition, that is an absolute quality draft, especially given the solid trade period as well.

Our list is now better than it was this time last year or the year before.

Interesting that we chose not to match Wagner and instead went for Skinner. I don't know much about either player - can anyone offer an opinion on whether this was the right choice? Skinner seems like more of a tall defender who can go in the ruck as well? Perhaps Wagner is too similar to Williams? Grasping at straws here...

If William and Chol were white, they both would be drafted. Fair to say that we need to see some Sudanese players make it at AFL level from the rookie draft before clubs will be willing to select them in the National draft.

Understand we got a great inside mid in Mathieson... I thought Wagner was more the half back, outside mid type, which is why I thought maybe they were hanging out for William instead.

hoping someone opts to take jackson paine of our hands so we have two bites of the apple in the rookie draft, would be very keen to take a player with some pace to burn along with reuben, we are looking quite one paced again with our future prospects

I read Quigley's analysis which was that he was played as an inside mid this year but was clearly not really suited to that role.

I reckon there would be a lot of Lions supporters in this age group - these guys were 4-6 years old during the three-peat, which is when you generally choose a club.

Agree with Zhesty - if you read the second half of Acuguy's comment, it is plain that he perceived that it was racism, and was calling it out. I'm not sure I agree with him, but I certainly don't think he himself was being racist.
