collins appears to be only 2 cm's taller than Gardiner we cant say these 2cm make that much of a difference in first round to 2nd round

Gardiner was pretty well always going to be better suited to a third tall role at the next level. Not everyone had him rated first round. I, like many others also did had him going in the 30's.

Fair enough. He looks like he can play, I just don't get excited by highlight packages, because they pluck out a player's best involvements. When a fair number of "highlights" result in a behind, I'm less excited.
But, as I said, it still looks like he can play, so I guess people can be excited about that.

I don't know who "they" are ....... I create & upload the video clips myself - and these are not a "highlights" package (ala AFL.com).

As I have stated previously, including for the videos I have uploaded of the Academy/Qld kids, they are warts and all of any "significant" involvements in the game(s).
They are intended not to "gloss over" any errors of judgement/poor skills execution - so as to give as clear a "picture" of performance as is possible, in 5-10mins.

But if they are a waste of time ....then I won't bother.

Whoa, whoa, whoa. No criticism of your work at all. I was speaking of my own "grain of salt" approach to "highlight" or "snapshot" type videos in general, not yours specifically. My take on videos in general reflects in no way the quality or value of your work. I just don't judge players based on these things, which isn't to say everyone else doesn't get value from them.
I think you've done a tremendous job, and is exactly the sort of work these forums rely and thrive on.

No problem, I can see how it could be read. "They", was probably a poor generalisation.

For those keeping an eye on next year and talking up the need for a big bodied mid it is worth noting that Allison is listed at 193. The kid can play anywhere on the ground and has the height for it. I will have a very close look at him at the Champs.

Not sure I'd use the term 'big bodied' and Allison in the same sentence.

Will be interesting to see how he fills out.

Supposedly it's not a deep draft but pleasingly at our first pick range there should be some absolute quality in Weitering, Francis, Schache and Parish. There's a long way to go season wise so we might possibly at ourselves out of those spots.
