Our remaining draw and injury list means we don't have to tank. Hopefully Gold Coast and Blues win a few from here out so we can still watch our players have a crack, get a win or two and still add Schache for the future. Although Weitering was great today too and Francis took a lot of marks and read the play well, was just completely outsized and made a few poor kicks. I want Schache but we can add quality with any of the top 3.

THE Brisbane Lions haven't played finals since 2009, but it's their absence from the top eight for nearly four seasons that has them in line to grab an unwanted record.

Barring an unprecedented surge in the second half of this year, the Lions will stay outside the eight and break Melbourne's record for consecutive weeks outside the top bracket of the ladder.

Would have to say this could help us get a PP when you factor in that we have made the finals the least amount of times (excluding Expansion teams) than any other side the last 10 years including Melbourne.

We won't get one I think simply cause they will point to the injury list as a reason to expect us to be better immediately.

Our only chance is if Aish goes and they are concerned about the disappearing first rounders and we lose Luey and Adcock to free agency and they disguise it (which would be a real stretch). We just won't get one however I can bet Swann is doing his best to convince them.
