Francis is well mature beyond his age. If you took him top 3, which he'll most likely go at this stage you want him becoming a midfielder. But boy is he good down back.

Correct me if I'm wrong with this but I think he is only a in the low 190cms' for height, and given we already have 2 undersized key defenders in Gardner and Beasley, Francis would definitely need to have serious midfield potential for us to take him that high IMO at least

Well I would think Carlton would take best available KPP as they are light on at either end. Most people have Weitering as the number 1 pick by default. Just can't see them passing on him.

Taking a key position defender at pick 1 can be risky since Weitering has shown nothing in terms of playing up forward.

Reminded a little of Mundy when in the midfield.
Would like to see his testing (esp. Endurance).

Wasn't really suggesting that we take him at all, I personally would take others ahead of him if we finished with a top 5 pick.

5. Harley Balic

I'll be honest, I didn't think about putting any academy boys in. But I still personally wouldn't have any of them in there.

If we have a second first round pick this year I would be looking at Kieran Collins. He is developing really nicely and outplayed Wietering last weekend. He would be the type of strong bodied KPD we could use.

This guy caught my eye watching the Vic Metro/ Vic Ctry game last week.

Whilst editing the video, it was apparent that he is definitely an "outside" mid - did not line up inside the square for any re-starts, and I didn't notice any tackles made. But that said, there was still something I liked when watching live.

If we have a second first round pick this year I would be looking at Kieran Collins. He is developing really nicely and outplayed Wietering last weekend. He would be the type of strong bodied KPD we could use.

His game was really impressive. Certainly a better performance than I've personally seen of Weitering. Certainly has a mature body, probably go anywhere from the 10-15 range at the moment I would have thought.

He'll probably grow another couple of cm's considering he is one of the youngest players in the draft too as he was born midway through December. Certainly a type that should be able to match up with these new gorrilas coming through.

The mark at 5:50 This kid has it all. Looks like he has the potential to be a big bodied midfielder with the ability to go forward with some x factor and take a big mark and slot a goal but also drop back as a rock in defence. Such an exciting prospect.

You have to remember he is use to playing as a defender and he still slotted 4 goals.

collins appears to be only 2 cm's taller than Gardiner we cant say these 2cm make that much of a difference in first round to 2nd round
