He was not taken in the rookie draft. He was taken in the preseason draft, which is after the rookie draft. He didn't even make it in the rookie draft is the point. Just a minor point, but one worth making I think.

Stats are up. Keays 21 of his 26 touches effective, 7 tackles. Allison 24 disposals (starting to really find form which is very promising), Wagner 2 goals, 21 touches, and unfortunately a Suns member but Budarick had 23 and 3 goals. Impressive.
Keays is so good a team would give up pick 1 AND pick 2 for him #mcchinisms #noagenda
Jokes aside, Allison is looking handy for next year's draft which is definitely good to see.

Found that vid interesting as its the first time i've really watched keays. Few thoughts
- I like how he tends to be on the move around the contest or even just on his toes. Doesn't look like he gets caught flat footed very often
- Looks like he reads the play pretty well and manages to spread to the right areas to receive the ball
- Can see the Power reference as in that video he tended to lean back on a lot of kicks and just dink them to a teamate. He'll need to flatten some of them out at AFL level though otherwise he'll be selling his teammates into trouble on more than a few occasions. He doesn't appear to lean into many of his kicks and post kicking in that video he was almost heading in the opposite direction (or 90 degrees different) to the ball after a lot of kicks (not just the round body snaps)
- didn't seem to have the penetration on his kicking that I had read about but could have just been the options he was presented with/chose
I know its a small sample size but i'd have him around the 18-25 mark based on the bit i've seen of the champs. Will be interesting to see how he goes against NSW in the foxfooty televised game at the end of the carnival.

Followed his junior career at Labrador quite closely over the years. Might end up as a Dayne Zorko type. Quality and talented Queensland footballer who is overlooked due to his height. Wouldn't surprise me if he is overlooked and plays in the NEAFL/VFL/SANFL(He is a South Australian boy originally) for a couple years and gets picked up as a mature ager down the track. He is just a natural footballer though. Hard at it, skilful and is a very good crumber up forward.

Quite impressive video's you've been putting up Crusha. Love your work. Great for those posters that don't see any footage and only base their opinions off what they read on BigFooty. Hell, I watch a lot of junior footy but don't get too see much of the Queenslanders apart from Keays as I've been focusing a bit on him lately, so your footage has been quite handy for me too when it comes on forming an opinion of some of the academy boys!
Everyone really appreciates it, keep up the good work.
Great vids. Do you post these on the draft on boards? Those that frequent that board would definitely like these as they don't get to see many QLDers as well.
I saw Keays as a 10 year old and I have never seen such a well developed footballer, as a 12 year old I couldn't believe how much he had dropped away, watching his tapes now he is a quintessential accumulator of the footy, with a left foot that can really hurt!

After watching those videos I think we absolutely must get a top 3 pick.. Schache our priority but Francis also good.. Hope weitering goes 1st and we get whoever is left.. Schache is so good once the ball hits the deck, his foot skills look amazing and love his engine.. Reminds me a bit of Jeremy Cameron in his work when the ball hits the ground so nimble for a 199cm player..
