Yes it's amazing how tragedies early in life can link to an internal drive. The obvious connection with the Lions through his dad and he fits our needs is hard to overlook if he is available. I wonder if we get Dixon will things change our pick.
"I think that'd be pretty cool if I ended up at Brisbane. I could go back to where dad was and finish off what he did there," Schache said.

Close is the opposite, yet because he has skinny legs he doesn't have a lower centre of gravity and power to plant himself in a 1v1 contest. If I had to pick between the two I'd take the Schache build. A lot more power can be built by having a more developed lower body and core group.I could be wrong but I thought it looked like Schache was a bit thin across the shoulders sort of like Taberner from Freo. Might hurt him in 1 on 1 contests against bigger bodies.
Must...not....get..too attached.....Ugh, too late. I want Schache.
Pfft... keep playing with the clay.Maybe if we dont win for the rest of the year we can get a PP and get both...
Anybody who has an emotional investment at the Lions should be at the club imo. No go home factor, and imagine a Schache/Freeman/Mcstay 3 pronged attack.

We should have really bottomed out TBH if it wasn't for Vossy trying to protect his job and play the older blokes instead of looking towards the future(most would have done the same). For the past few years the late wins gave everyone a false hope that next year we will finally start to get on the up side of a rebuild only for it to be shattered within the first 8 weeks of the following season. Hopefully this will be our lowest of the low year and we get manage to get at least 2 picks within the top 10 (1+2 please?). Draft Schache and Weitering and we will have our spine set for 10 years.Yeah can't see us not winning 3 -5 more games. We'll end up with bloody pick 8 again
