Schache did dominate the under 18s like no other forward before him he would clearly be the best player, regardless think we would pick best available and in this case take into account our needs which could be schache

also weitering did spent a couple of weeks in the summer here, we would have alot better idea about the type of person he is etc

Once we add shaq, we are seriously covered for young keys -

- schache

- Gardiner

- hipwood
- Dawson

To bad that flock is 3-4 years away from making serious noise, we still need a couple added in the 24-26 age range but starting to look unlikely - list would be starting to get a little bit top heavy.

in the tac cup his team was alot worse than Weiterings and it was reportedly a very poor day for fowards given the conditions

if we say everytime a player beats another player without considering the circumstances then we would consider

Robert Copeland to be a better player than Buckley
Andrew Raines better than Gary Ablett
as examples

true... but just making the point on comparing two players. This draft is a real crap draft in depth so it is no surprise Schache went nuts until he played on a decent opponent like weitering. On Talent weitering is the best talent in the draft, but Schache plays that tall forward which is hard to find

Lets say for a minute we do get picks 1&2 or 2&3 or 1&3, highly unlikely but amuse me. Who would it be?

Sch is a lock for most, so would you risk Weit as all of a sudden we have a nice looking bunch of KPP coming through at once and perhaps that'll keep the team together, or would go Francis.... or even Keays, then hopefully Hipwood with a Aish compo pick and possibly Collins with 2nd rounder? Finally, if he did want to stay, would you want Aish in the team?

yeahh i do get what you mean there it has been too easy for him, even watching some of his highlights and the marks he took it was like the defenders were scared of any body on body contact, were just letting him take easiest marks, only time will tell if he is worth it or not

Yeah Im not trying to discredit Schache. I have him as our #1 player on a combo of needs and talent. Weitering "Shades" schache on talent at this stage, but plays defense where we dont need. Blues need both tall backs and forwards and could never lose on either. Blues dont have a Harris Andrews

In short Schache at teh Lions just makes sense, but I wouldnt be calling him the out and out best player in the under 18's... not that it will really matter should he pull a lions guernsey on like many expect

Schache & Francis if we got 1 & 2

We have Harris Andrews to fill any role Weitering would do for us. Both Weitering and Andrews would still make a nice defensive combo, but Francis who would have far less go home risk can play defense very well and develop into a bull midfielder which we dont have

Would always take Francis, especially with *talks* about Weitering being unhappy to move up North. (Radio talk, don't know how accurate but it makes me nervous)

Francis looks great and his brother madly supported the Lions before sadly passing away, so there is some Lions connection in there at least.

Would be happy for Aish to stay, but only see that happening if we offered a fat contract, which would be way to high compared to his market value.

Grant Brisbane lions a priority pick after its 1st selection and show to all lions fans across the country that the AFL commission does care about the lions. Restore their hope. I think that is the very lest you can do.It is the right thing to do and most importantly it is the most honourable thing to do.

i don't care how they do it , how they disguise it ( like they did to Melbourne last year bullsh.t) Disguise it as part of the leuy compensation, be creative AFL,this is your test afl ,as to whether or not you give a shit about the lions
