Would have thought with no subs that all 4 of Bundy, Zorks, Greeny and Taylor would play, split something like 2 forward, 1 mid/wing and 1 on the bench and rotate something like that....
When you add rich to that that's 5 small players out ... We are just too small around the contest. Bell helps now and cutler will likely move into a winger role... Other clubs use taller or bigger bodies on the wings to great effect, ie Smith at Hawthorn.

I pick up on shit like this and it infuriates me.

Persistent use of the word 'obviously', as well as answering every question with 'yeah, definitely'.

My two pet peeves.

Cannot deal.

IT IS NOT OBVIOUS

While I agree, I'm not sure what more we can expect from young guys who have no inherent talent for public speaking. They're using 'obviously' to sound like they have it all under control.

It's like being good at job interviews doesn't make you good at a job. They're trying to sound self-assured and well informed and wise when they possibly aren't any of those things.

They don't feel confident, they're not sure why the team isn't playing well, and what they DO know, they have to keep to themselves as team strategy.

But if they admit they have no idea why things aren't clicking, they get laughed at.

Basically it's 'Go out there, sound smart and entertaining, but don't give any team secrets away. And of course, don't bag the coach, teammates or umpires. Oh,.. And have fun'.

Hiding to nothing.

It is a moot point obviously but I wonder what type of players we might have taken with picks 17 and 21 had the Academy guys not been in the mix? I reckon I would have liked to have seen a midfielder and an attacking HBF, alongside Schache.

Apologies if this is rehashing old ground, have been busy with work last couple of weeks.

So with the Paine move to the rookie list, do we now have 5 senior list spots for the draft? Likely to be used on Schache, Keays, Hipwood and another academy kid?

If this McDonagh or whatever his name is from Richmond is taken in the PSD, does he go on the senior or rookie list?

Personally I would rather just take all 5 picks in the main draft and take Chol and William as well given they appear unlikely to still be around for the rookie draft. Then we could use that last rookie spot on McDonagh or another ruckman (Gorringe, Warnock, Grimely etc)

We could end up with Basil Zempilas commentating every single one of our home games.

I'd rather go in with 21 players.
I'd drop lower than that. Him and Hamish... It's like they're pulling the brains out of your ears just by listening to them.

It's going to be an interesting draft, with how the trades/picks have fallen.

Multiple high pick for teams are reasonably unpredictable, can see teams go for needs and not best available.

Carlton will have a chance to potentially draft Weitering and Collins. Although not an exciting prospect of using 2 high picks on defenders, they know each other's game and are very compatable. Could potentially set their defense up for the next 10years (Plowman in as a 3rd tall too)

The Essendon / Melb picks could see someone reach for a Weiderman/Curnow type of player.

Our drafting seems straight forward enough thou, Schache, Hipwood, Keays and the next academy player bid on Id guess
