Is it just me or does a fair few of this years draft class seem a bit ... slow. I'd be surprised if Kennedy knew how to tie his own shoe laces up. Just comes across as really dumb.

I'm absolutely not an expert, but in all of the highlight stuff I've seen he looks very one sided, and that comes up often in commentary about him. I mostly noted the point because in a relatively short summary, that BFG writer specifically highlights his two-sidedness. I thought that was a bit incongruous.

He can kick serviceably on his right but it does not look natural. That puts him ahead of 90% of the young players coming through but I would not say he is dual sided.

do you reckon we have Uebergang (sp?) on our list? Apparently is one of the best prospects at state level in Australia for a KPD. Any draft watcher know if he is better than Brown the other potential mature recruit?

I already knew that (that he wasn't actually a Lions supporter). I thought it was common knowledge?

We have pick two, he is the consensus second best player on the draft, coming off a dominant draft year, he fills a position of dire need, has repeatedly said he will be happy to come here and has a family connection to the club.

Strange to see you say "I'm not sure I want him anymore". Is there another player in that range that ticks even half the boxes above?

I have been his biggest fan all year but who's to say in 2 years time if North come knocking he won't leave they are going to need to restock their forward line by then just sick of losing players I guess so I'm a little disappointed to hear he wasn't a Lions supporter.

Yep those were the ones!

Just cos he barracks for north doesn't mean he'll leave. Surely the positive things he's said about playing for the lions outweighs the fact that he doesn't barrack for us. I know it's a touchy subject. And the though of anyone barracking for north makes me ill.
But we need to have faith in these guys...
