Mitch Brown will be picked up no problem, Shane Yarran in brilliant form.

Dunno anything about draftees but two I would like the club to target are Simpson and Ferreira. Both smalls but that is the area where we need a step up in quality and both could potentially do that from day one.

Going by reports Simpson is obviously a risk, but the club would know if we would be well placed to overcome any issues he may have had at Freo.

Shane Yarran is a medium forward who hits the score board.

That's something we desperately need.

Really?

Don't we have monfries , wingard , gray , p stew and palmer ?

Kicking goals from med or smalls doesn't seem a problem for us ...

Kicking goals when teams don't allow us the corridor , and own the hotspot that we want to kick to forcing us to kick to the boundary is our problem. Which all comes down to a midfield willing to run and give options to get the ball in the centre and moving it before a defense gets set but you really need a midfield that when in doubt knows it can kick centre in the f50 or around chf and will get a contest.

Paul Stewart has been completely ineffective in that role since 2013. He'll be playing alongside the out of form Monfries and the developing Plamer in the SANFL this weekend. And Gray is a essentially a full time midfielder these days.

Wingard caries a lot of the goal scoring burden.

A small-medium forward who could have an impact next year would be high on my priority list. It's why I'm thinking Ah Chee might be a great use of our first pick.

It may not be as big of a need as a contested marking key forward but for mine it's still something we should be looking to address before next season.

Draft the Best possible Inside midfielder to help Ollie out, Preferably with more speed than Ollie,

1 goal and 30 plus possessions per game from Wingard plus 30 goals from a specialist small forward >>> than what we have now, with Wingard being 2 plus 40 and no other small forward to write about.

Wingard, as well as Gray, needs to end up a full time midfielder if we are serious, and for those who say why just remember that Ablett too started off as a small forward.

Yep - Chad needs to go into the midfield full time next year. A 'Charlie' has his name on it.

I am thinking the same for this draft ... some one like - Rhys Mathieson - Country, 10/1/97, Inside Midfielder (although he might not have more speed than Ollie) ...

Wingard and Neade are enough.

Palmer mid size utility is developing.

if we cant get Rhys Mathieson to help Ollie ...

I wouldn't mind getting Ryan Burton with our first pick for the future to be on the other pocket or HFF to Palmer something like this for example ..

FF - Neade Harvey Wingard
HF - Palmer Howard Burton

I don't mind wingards incline to midfield time being similar to Grays

A) a small forward shouldn't be high on our list , if anything for our forward line after a key forward a lead up forward that burton could be or sam Mayes or possibly palmer could be should be the next target. Not a small forward we can use the rookie list or late picks on that.

B) yes wingard should play in the middle. But wingards greatest asset is his nous around goals and ability to do what is needed. He will always be more valuable to us closer to goal. Hence as a midfielder he should and likely always will spend more time forward of centre. Any team we play would much rather see wingard get 30 touches in th middle and back lines then 20 touches forward of centre. Because those forward of centre will hurt the other team on th scoreboard.

Question for those that want a ready made KPF.
Will he get gametine instead of Schulz, Westhoff or Ryder?

If Burton is only a 3rd tall type, is there any point taking him with our first pick?

I assume he's a Scott Welsh type.
