[emoji4] Some players of note

It makes Clayton interesting. Lose one red head mid pick up another. Balance.

On Cal Twomey's draft podcast thing, they had Gary Buckenara on. Cal asked him about Ryan Burton and he seemed to think he'd last until the second / third rounds!

I don't believe it's so, but now I'm hoping beyond hope he's there at our second round pick.

Love Twomeys draft podcasts. Fingers crossed he reaches that far. He's the type of player we lack.

Would possibly depend if Ryan can do anything at the combine?
Anyone know where he is as far as recovery goes?
At one stage they were hoping to get a couple of games into him this season but don't think he got that far?

yeah absolutely no one is gonna spring a first round pick on burton unless he plays games before the draft.

lever at least only had an arm issue so could still do a lot of training , and if i remember i think lever got back for one or two matches maybe?

burton is gonna slide draft day.

W

re has he played this year and done what?

No idea. I know people were keen on him last time round and nothing came of it. Was wondering myself what had become of him and if he was still on the radar.

Well hopefully we can nab an early second round pick somehow in the trade period...

Hopefully we can get St Kilda's Pick 23 and Melbournes Pick 24 and go in with 23,24 and 29. Use 23 to get Menzel, 24 for Burton and an inside midfielder at 29.

Any young guys with a decent kick, not a piece of string, and has blistering speed available in the draft? If so what is their draft range?

I don't mind this at all.
Presuming that you're looking at offloading Moore, O'Shea and/or Young to achieve this.
If we could get picks 23 and 24 by trading out Young and Moore (not O'Shea) and including later picks or the likes of Shaw, that would be great.
Wishful thinking though

Yeh I was thinking along the lines of O'Shea to Saints for 23, and Moore/Young to Melbourne for 24. I think Young is worth 24 but not Moore by himself, but hey its Melbourne so anythings possible.

I also honestly believe a fair trade for Dixon is our pick 10 for Dixon + GC pick 21, coz GC might only want to go into the draft with 3 live picks, and they would already have picks 3,10 and 19 (First round compo).
