Given our current position, are we a chance to get Partington?
Partington is going to be around the mark particularly if Curnows stocks rise. If we make the eight he's gone but if we make the eight I'm for trading our 1st pick to the Suns for Day. The Suns are a basket case off field would take a punt with Sam Day in a environment that's more conducive to playing professional sport.

Ferreira has recovered from his ankle injury and along with Daniel Rioli and Brandon Parfitt going very well against Tasmania in the under 18s game.

Brandon Parfitt does seem to be the Territories best midfield player really looks very good but I think he's next years draft?

Skippos the legend has been compiling highlights for individual players from the Championships so far. His playlist is here for those eligible for the draft this year:

(Skippos, if you'd prefer I didn't share these in here, let me know and I'll edit the links out and put a link to your draft thread instead)

Turns out embedding has been disabled - but you can click the above link and it'll take you to check out names like Mathieson, Partington and McKay.

love watching second division games. always some pretty good project players. Was always disappointed we didn't have a dip at the 2013 Tassie draft. i was really keen on the prospects of Brady Grey, Alex Pearce, Eli Templeton and K.Kolodjashnij for their respective ranges. Also produced J.Kol, Zac Webster and some kid i've never heard of before in Toby Nankervis (RossFC  )

In lean years it always good to look at these lesser scutinised leagues, even just looking at last years draft snagging Austin + Howard out of NSW/ACT champ team/GWS academy.

No probs with it mate. Videos take ages to make so disabled embedding so I could get a little cash from ads to cover the time from them (still only equates to about 75 cents an hour lol). Sorry about that.

You said a week or so ago Ferriera had dislocated his ankle and was out for the season. Who's his dad - Jesus Ferreira? ;)

Jackson Clarks Northern Territory Football Facebook is the only source I have.
He's pretty good as a rule. Tasmania ran over them by a couple of goals in the end today. [emoji4]

I still really rate him... If it's a pick 10+ I'd be keen.

But I also really want Ryan Burton.. Shiny new toy.
I'm the same - would love both ... when Burton (and Port) were killing it last year I never thought we would get the opportunity to get him ... but Aish is ready made/200 game player.

Aish - talent good

Work ethic and attitude - poor

Health ie ability to stay injury free - not so good

Eerily similar to our last recruit from Brisbane.

Aish is and will become a good player, but I think there are better opportunities out there for the cost of acquiring him. Would slot into the best 22 no problems and has a nice touch of class, but I don't think that addresses our key issues at present.

I've said this from day one since i saw Aish. Will be a top 20 player in the AFL, I would have taken him at #1 on draft day. I'm probably starting to look a bit silly if his career projects as it is at the moment but i would trade our pick for him.

I've seen nothing from Aish to suggest his work ethic or attitude is poor.

He showed incredible fitness and durability as a first year player and his form slump earlier this year was due to playing less midfield minutes and more non-descript flanker roles - something 80% of our team can relate to.

For me Aish was clearly the pick of first year players last season. He played an important role in one of the worst midfields in the league and didn't look out of place for a second, in fact he regularly showed a class with ball in hand that very few players can.

If there wasn't a media push for Taylor and Bontempelli didn't rack up some kicks against a few terrible teams late in the year Aish would have won the rising star. And then we wouldn't have half this board labouring under the false impression that he's a hack or had an average first few seasons.

Hes a bigger frame than the Hoff and hasn't had any trouble putting on weight like the Hoff did. and has a bigger leap so I think he can develop into a stronger key forward.

Even if he does play similar to the Hoff, we'll probably need a Hoff replacement soon anyway, so either way...

Any chance Aaron Francis, if he were available at our pick, could play forward? He reads it beautifully. I'd lean towards taking him regardless if he's at our pick (obviously behind Schache and Weitering). Just seems like a natural footballer who could play anywhere ala Brendon Goddard.

Also I'm still on the Maris Olekalns train. Showed some good stuff against Vic Metro. An intelligent outside mid, strikes me as a Bernie Vince or Shaun Burgoyne type ceiling, albeit currently in a Sam Colquhoun/Darcy Byrne-Jones frame.
