Only 3 rucks invited to this year's draft combine.
Thanks for that he sounds interesting and is meant to be talented. Skippos has classified him as a unique inside mid / hbf with the description coming soon. I'm looking forward to the description because i don't know what he means by unique midfielder.
Just for you I'll write it up tonight.
Unique because there isn't really a comparison. When he look at inside mids who can play off half back they're usually slow and physical types - Vlastuin, Taylor hunt, Nathan wright. Even luke mcdonald. There aren't that many quick inside mids. And of the quicker ones, Tahana doesn't have the burst of a freeman, shuey or Dangerfield. He's weird in that regard, he's quick but he early uses that speed through the middle to his advantage, it's more cleanliness that works for him.
Everything I've read about tahana sounds to me like a solid player , and even if he never becomes a guy people notice or dominates play I would be very happy to pick up a solid player with a second round pick onwards if said player is
a) high character
b) not slow
c) above average user of the ball
d) can work both ways
Which seems to apply to tahana
What's this I hear about Scharenburg possibly wanting to gone back to Adelaide? Anybody hear anything besides the trade rumour in the AFL website?
This should be in the 'rose coloured glasses' thread.I'm warming to Ah Chee as our first pick. Has been class since he was 15, no go home factor with his brother here, seems like he could play next year and will compliment Wingard. How do opposition match up on two quick smalls who are great overhead?
I am not of the view that we need another big inside mid. The natural development of Wines, Ah Chee, Young and Moore along with the plethora of others we can run through the middle means we are well served here. We need speed and a classy goal sneak up forward. If Parish is gone, I'd grab Ah Chee.

Careful about parish; picking up another 175-180cm midfielder with the unique blend of speed and endurance will see our board explode like no other.
I like ah chee but he seems like a north Melbourne type pick up. Wells hasn't been doing too well this year and they need a bit of excitement and speed in their team. They're pretty reliant on nahas/Thomas would be a good get for them. Similarly with Essendon; with the major need of speed through the midfield/wings. They pretty much have no speed except colyer though that laverde kid is pretty quick

Talented but doesn't get enuf ballTahana would be a great mid round get. His stocks have dropped for some reason, even though he had a good champs.
Very talented.
?
I've seen all listings of parish as above 180. All.
I've never seen mention of his speed and endurance.
Every single thing I've read of parish is he is a balanced mid who can find lots if the ball and can win it on the inside a bit as well as get out into space. He has a long long history of good performances. The only people exploding if we pick up parish is our recruiting team in delight.
