True, we're a bit better at drafting than we were but I'm just looking at what's gone before, even Hawthorn have had howlers with 30+ picks. Although they've also taken some doozies, Sam Mitchell at #36 comes to mind. And we have of course had Dom Cassisi at #50, Robbie Gray at #55 and Justin Westhoff at #82.

I mean I don't expect us to enter the draft at #29.

Why do we need a SANFL ruckman on our AFL list?
Magpies making a Gf assists the Power in finals as our players will still be getting game practice and will be ready to fit into the Power if needed so we need a good ruck in the Magpies too.

Burton is a worry. The Crows will end up with two picks before us. It's likely to be hard to get him past their second pick.
It's a real shame that Danger didn't just walk to the draft :(

I wouldn't bother speculating on anyone until we know what draft picks we have.

I shall speculate all I darn well rootin' tootin' want to.
So there......

Jordan snadden is a likely type. Good size 190cms 79kg tested well in the leaps, sprints, clean hands and kicking tests at the combine yet still projected to go late second-rookie. Blistering speed described as a bit of a quiet lad from wa.

He could be that outside speed we're seeking and the isaac smith type i severly crave.

Any crumbing forwards in the draft worth looking at?

Theres a handful with kebateih and rioli being the main ones who would be in our range (in the event first 2 rounds are traded out for toump/dixon). Lovell/Gresham/snelling can also plays as small forwards theres also ferreria, dodge, brind to name a few. With the higher ups being ah chee and milera

Thanks mate!
Not that I've seen much of the juniors but I see milera as a wingman/mid and Arch as a high half fwd.

Someone needs to go out and get Ross Tungatalum. Can not understand how someone that talented didn't make it in the AFL.

Would love to get any of Milera (gun) or Ah Chee (Port has had success with brothers before)
Partington or Brind- Roxby Downs lads.
Partington is from the West Coast (Tumby/Streaky) and Brind is a Roxby lad. I think Brind may end up with us on the rookie list!

Started in roxby, my dad uses to work with his (before he sadly passed) at the beginning of the year. But yes recently he's from tumby, I think.

any know anything about Hugh Haysman? caught him on the sports report, looks like he moves well.

Results from sanfl state screening.

Hugh Haysman, Brendan Dew and Maris Olekalns had some good results.

Brendon Dew is the one from those screenings. Did watch him play a few times last year in Centrals under 18 side A grade skills and terrific work ethic. Highly spoken of by anyone who has had anything to do with him. Had a poor start to this season due to OP I believe but could be a great late pick / rookie.

Not to mention the Westhoff's, one was more than enough.
At one point there was a mention of going for the third Westhoff, Leigh. The last I heard of him was a story where he broke a fibula in 2012 playing for Tanunda in 2012. He is three years older than Justin.
