With our first pick being 32 we will be looking for unexpected top 20 players to slip through to us.

I suspect we will loom at a key defender to be ready in 3 years.

Lets trade up with 29 and young/moore to earlier in the 20s and we should be able to snare clayton oliver and sure up our inside mid stock. That would make this an almost perfect offseason

Ex freo and hawk sam menegola worth a look? A big bodied mature inside player with good endurance and has been tearing up the wafl this year, could step into the team quite comfortably next year to help out wines which ken has said is a major need. Will be more ready than any 18 year old kid we would still need to develop and mature their body

there are couple of key defenders in snafl - Keogh of Westies and that big lad from Norwood Levicki. Keogh is almost certain to a chance at afl next year.

I hope a player like Partington, Snelling, Daniel Rioli, Riley Bonner can find their way to 32.

I feel we are lacking a specialist small forward, Rioli would be great but feel he has been hyped a bit the last couple of weeks so a club could take him higher than 32.

I also suspect we might look at someone like Gach Nyoun, as Chris Davies has gone on record saying we will be looking for a ruck in the draft.

Partington is sliding for reasons unknown and would be the steal of the century. It's wishful thinking but he could possibly slide.

Hype and the Rioli surname go together like rama lamma lamma ka dinga da dinga dong.

He's a really good kid through and can play. Take the Rioli name out of it and he's still a really good kid who can play.

Does he have Cyrils forward pressure stats though? Does he score goals without scoring, assisting or being involved in any way in the goal yet gets the credit for it?

Reckon he's actually more of a mid least that's what he's doing for the Territory.

> Thinks of the last mature-aged player on our list who tore up the WAFL prior to joining us.

Would really like to pick up Hisham Kerbatieh, looks like a Ballantyne type. Only small but powerful and elusive, smart goal kicking forward.

If we don't have an early pick in the draft Id rather take a top player in a niche position than the 20th best midfielder.

1) That player is a midget Menegola is similar to Ollie's build in terms of both height and weight ratio
2) Menegola can mark overhead and kick goals as he was originally drafted as a forward and doesn't rely on snaps from 40m out rather than slotting a drop punt
3) Menegola can actually stick tackles
4) Mitchell is a straight line runner Menegola is more agile

Just because our last mature age pick from the WAFL hasn't worked out that well doesn't mean we should stigma the cohort as a whole.

On a side not andre parella really has something about him if we're looking for a ruck; tennis convert but has a good build already and lovely tap work

Do people know much about Davin Ferreira?
Torn them up in his first league game for Norwood then injured his ankle playing for the Territory in the under 18s played out the series injured did ok at the draft combine. Someone will pick him up.

somehow i dont think port are shopping for elusive talented small mid/fwds

Just realised partington isn't even in afl.com.au's top 25 for their phantom draft, I wonder what made him slip so much.

Knightmare's phantom draft has him at pick 30 - nothing outstanding at this stage:

30. Luke Partington (SA – MID/FWD)
Height: 182cm, Weight: 75kg, DOB: 05/03/1997
Recruited from: Port Adelaide
Range: 10-50
Profile: High level accumulator with good pace and footskills.

Mature age players from the WAFL does scare me a bit.

Blee and Mitchell barely translated their ability across to the SANFL. Marlon Motlop and Mitch Banner looked like stars there too.

All I want with our couple of picks are a couple of mids that can kick. Inside/outside, I dont care, just a couple of mids that have good skills.

Quick player who can find the ball and use it well. Sounds terrible
