Luke Partington to slide a to us would be an absolute steal.

Probably stick easy and go Mason Redman and Stephan Tahana. I like the WA kid Jordan Shoenfield, seems like he could develop. I personally don't think we need to address anything so it'd just be best kid there. I hope we give Ben Sawford a go on the rookie list.

What are the chances of Redden going on the rookie list?

Couple of rangy, quick midfielders who tend to be in discussions around where our first pick will be are Declan Mountford and David Cunningham. Mountford better inside with his contested work and has a nicer kick on him in my opinion, but Cunningham has the kind of speed which is going to really stand out at AFL level whereas Mountford is probably more middle of the road.

There's a mock draft podcast on the draft hub with Callum Twomey, Nat Edwards and Brenton Sanderson. Although it is only up to pick 30 at the moment I will talk about it here as it mentions Luke Partington, who a few people have hoped will slide, as going to Essendon at 28. Daniel Rioli is not going to the Hawks but to the Eagles at 27.

I'm just hoping that on draft night we hear the following characteristics describing our picks - Quick, contested ball winner and high possession getter.

Does anyone think we'll actually use pick 80 odd now that we surprisingly haven't hooked ourselves the backup ruck most expected through DFA

The Roar phantom draft has us picking Aidyn Johnson and Brayden Fiorini.
It has Harrison Himmelberg being picked up by GWS at 65. They may get him but I'd hope we put in a bid and maybe GWS would not match it. Another player who looks to be going late is Ben Jarman to Adelaide at 71. From what I have heard about him he seems better than that and although I don't think he will take a 1st round pick, I expect him to be picked up earlier. Adelaide do not pick till round 4 after their round 1 picks so I expect him to go elsewhere.

There are a few holes in that draft. I think people expect Himmelberg to be taken by GWS at 27 and we might be the club who bids for him.

It also has us passing after our first two picks but we will at least upgrade Sam Gray and could draft another player with Mitchell delisted. And if we delist Stewart then we can still have a PSD pick.

I'm fairly sure Ben Jarman isn't eligible until the 2016 draft and Hawthorn and Adelaide will be vying for his signature.

Anyway interesting to see Aidyn Johnson's name come up again. A consensus draft I saw had Port picking Nick O'Kearney with our first pick which might make missionpossible happy. ;)

I'm fairly sure both teams are hoping Darren doesn't eat him before then.

Draft machines up and running tons of highlights available

2nd pick: Charlie Bance: who? Exactly; the type of guy we pick from left field. NSW/ACT boy who no one knows anything about. Build solidly at 184cms and 89 kgs. Had OP much of 2015 and Models his game on Wines and Kennedy (swans). Funnily enough he looks a bit like Ollie in his draft picture and has strong legs

it might be worth getting him with our 1st pick in the rookie draft especially as the AFL draft machine has him as a smokey

imagine having the 184cm Charlie who is like the 187cm Ollie (both in the midfield)

it would be like 2 Ollie's running around (and it would definitely help take some of the pressure off of Ollie with future tags)

They would have to count as first rounders.
Would have been much easier and simpler if the academy and FS was done prior to the draft. However this way it's more theatrical and the AFL loves comedy.
Whoops I meant to say drama.
