I like him, just not 100% sold. Does he have the scope of improvement, or is he another Matthew Watson/Mitch Brown. U18 monsters who couldnt convert their game to the highest level. Thats why I have a question mark.

Mind you, can also see him slotting into a team straight away and playing for 10 years.
I think Carlton could be a possibility. Just to keep the combination with weitering going. Apparently the two had perfect communication

Yep, very possible. Could also go to the Hawks, Dogs & Freo as well.

Question mark on Kieran Collins? To me he looks like a team's no. 2 defender for a long time. Oldest looking child I've ever seen.
He was on AFL 360 with Sam Weideman in the middle of the U/18 championships and I basically had the same thought. He made Gerard look like a 12 year old and also dwarfed Robbo. Have been a fan since as they showed his highlights and I saw him play 2 more games. He was rated in the 5 to 7 range back then but keeps slipping. The Herald Sun and Enma Quayle mock drafts has him going to the hawks at their pick expected to be around 22 or 23 arguing he is a long term replacement for Brian Lake - but Gibson wont be around much longer as he turns 32 before the season starts so that is another reason for the Hawks to take him. He is a strong bastard and apparently he didnt lose a 1 on 1 in the championships. Unfortunately he wont slip to 38 otherwise I'd want us to grab him as Bobby's long term replacement.

The Hawks two picks will be interesting. Midfield & defence need work. Can see Collins going there for sure. But can also see Hawthorn picking two mids.

Makes the number one draft prospect appear like a mere callow youth...

i do not understand all the hype surrounding Curnow, he is a bit meh when i watch him

I like his strength in the contest and his ability to mark one on one. Seems like he has good skills. There is a lot of hype going about his capability of playing through the midfield. Exceptional runner. I think he's a player that you have to look at his potential for growth as opposed to just what he is doing now.

Latest unconfirmed whisper Morgan and Parsons to Port.
Dont know if you saw that Quigley is back this year on the D&T board, but he doesnt have either in his top 60. Morgan is a bit meh, has had hammy injuries but is quick according to his Inside Football profile from the Oakleigh Chargers talent manager, who reckons he will be their top pick. Says as an individual is mature like a 21-22 year old but in footy terms is like a 17 year old. He was born January 1996 so will be 20 at the start of next year.

Parsons I knew nothing about but he has a quirky profile which fits our quirky drafting history. Inside Football profile - DOB 12/4/97 Ht 189 Wt 77
"I reckon Parso's the kid who might get through to number 40 or 50 in the draft, and then in five years time when they go back through the draft history they'll go, Well, how the hell did he get to that? He does some stuff at some times that you go Wow! His consistency and competitiveness have been an issue. He'll play half, but he wont play a full game. He'll play a quarter, but he won't play the next quarter - so that's the biggest issue with him. I see him as a bit of an Isaac Smith wingman type, but also we played him off half back flank for the last six or seven weeks of the year. His speed and ability to get through traffic - and that effortless shimmy and away we go - it's a real trait of his." - Eastern Rangers talent manger Len Villani.

I'm not sure if I'm ready for another Morgan yet. I'm still a bit jittery.

I have no idea who we will draft, but I have a feeling we will all be very satisfied with the picks

Will be interesting to see if due to the exodus of interstate recruits through the years if the Crows go local with those 2 first rounders.

Can totally see the crows having Milera and burton at the top of their wish lists. I reckon they will absolutely take one if they are available at their picks.

Carlton are interesting ... They are going to be so shit for a while , and have more top picks in the next few years I almost wonder if they should go completely tall this draft ..

Ie take 4 of ...

Weitering , Collins , weiderman , h mackay , burton , Curnow

And take elite mids in future drafts ...

Here's hoping Ah Chee and Milera end up at clubs where they may want to leave in a couple years. Adelaide pick up Curnow for the lols of him leaving. Us to pick up Partington would be fantastic!
