Hibberd has already had a knee and shoulder Reco.
Bit Risky picking up a 18/19 yr old with both them done!
Fair call but there are lots of guys who have been drafted off injuries that required surgery.

Judd and J Selwood both had major injuries in the U/18's and turned out alright.

Additionally Jake Lever missed the entire U/18 season from a knee reconstruction and was picked up by Adelaide.

Yeah 1 injury to 1 part of the body. Fair enough.
BUT
2 different major injures.
Alarm bells!

Barcelona,
No inside mail "Iva Bigun" other than the number of Tasmanians he has picked in the past and their relative success.

The no go home factor is a huge plus (just ask Brisbane!!).

Additionally he is a good size who probably would develop into a mid-fielder after a few years in the AFL system.

Apparently Kieran Lovell who is also a Tasmanian is a good chance to be drafted.

Go for the double Scotty???
Both guns! I think Hibberd is a very good chance to go to Gold Coast if he is not already taken by our low 20s pick, both are extremely athletic, but Hibberd is the exact kind of player that GC will want.

If the club picks a player they know will do well like Parish i would fine with them taking a risk with someone like Curnow. Both are good friends as well.
My ideal draft scenario would be

#3 Parish (we know that he won't be there at 7 and we could use a good mid - avoid Francis as SA/Vic Metro boys are flight risk mummy boys - see Caddy/Aish)

#7 Curnow or Mathieson (fellow Geelong Falcon to pair with Parish - suit our needs with in/under type)

#20-22 Hibberd (only going on what I saw on highlight package - can't put finger on it but has something special - has good size, poise and decision making - doesn't look to be an elite kick, elite pace or take a contested mark so mat slip)

#25* Lovell (could be a Shaun Hart type player)

* get a decent pick for anyone of Smith, McKenzie or Matera

It's pretty fair to say that any out of contract big name player that hasn't re-signed by now is gone. Danger, Dixon, etc. No reason for them not to if they were staying.

Id be happy if Dunkley slipped to 20-22

Milera looks a player to at around that mark.

Gresham looks a very good player his short but elite at everything could be a new and improved
Matera.

I think at about 20 the talent is all pretty similiar all just depends what type of player/position your after

Had a squiz @ the latest draftbag, (going in reverse order) I agree with you about Gresham, thought Cole might b handy around that mark too.

Read a comment on 1/2 backs either earlier in this thread or in the Trade thread, my next picks are both just that - Bonner & Tucker, then the most wanted category would b 2 I see your guys have been looking @, Mathieson & Parish.

I don't know what the story is with Academy players (if the clubs involved have the currency) so left them out.

Don't be surprised if we trade away pick 3, From what I have been told it's highly likely
I wonder who we would be after that is worth a #3 pick and getable?

Given Beams and Griffen have gone for something like that I would be expecting a player of that sort of ilk. Will have to look through Mike Sheahan's top 50 list as I would expect to get someone off that list for that sort of pick given we are trading a potential 200 game player for an established gun with potentially 100 games left in the tank.

Adelaide can have pick 3 for both Crouch boys :)
