We can upgrade saad and brooksby with any pick so could still use 56.
No room on the senior list of 38 for pick 56.
35 spots filled, 3 open spots.
To be filled by picks 6,16,29.

We would need to delist someone else with a contract, like what we did with Danny Stanley. Possible, but it would make more sense to see who is available in the rookie draft and hit that hard.

We currently have no rookies, but will re-draft Stanley.

Much drafting of rookies ensues.

Clayton said we are taking 4 picks to the draft. If so -2 are already used on rookie elevation of Saad and Brooksby. Therefore only 2 picks left for draftees (6,16)
Thinking Grant will get final list spot - fills need and is right age.

Brett Anderson from SEN has us taking Clayton Oliver with pick #6.
I like it..
He really bolted out of nowhere the second half of season.
Has next to no outside game atm.
So has plenty of upside!!
Loves the in and under smashing through packs.
contested beast
And can hit the scoreboard!!

Didn't know too much about him, but he looks good. Nothing too flashy, but strong, good size and seems to make good decisions

Even after seeing this on Twitter..
Not sure I believe it..

We were chasing a third tall forward and a wing/half back during trade week.

And with Scheer and Bowes coming in next year.. Our middle looks full of depth.

If Curnow or Burton were still available even Francis..would take a man with a big plan to go and pick up another dominate Mid.

Unless there is something we don't know you would think that Francis would a great fit for our team if available at 6

Correct RE: Francis. Rumours are that clubs outside of SA are staying well clear of him because of go-home-factor. Hasn't made it a secret at all that he'll be gone ASAP. Similar to a Wingard stance I guess?

Curnow could be gone at #3 to the Dees.

That would leave Parish and weideman for Essendon at 4 and 5

Maybe a double bluff - knowing what he said about getting back to SA ASAP in his draft combine interviews maybe we felt that both the Bombers and Demons would be scared off by all the talk. We get to mitigate our risk by getting a Demons 1st rd pick in 2016 and the player we were going to get at #3 anyway (Francis) for the price of our pick 10 in this year's shallow draft. Genius if it plays out like this and we have success and convince him to stay a while.

Probably just speaking out my ass and we will just get someone else who is not such a flight risk.

Pretty piss poor character of the bloke if actually true.

Is it just me or does Oliver look completely unathletic bodytype wise (body shape and pasty red haired kid). His not from his clips but when I saw him I was like this kid doesn't look like a future draftee

Looks like a kid playing local country footy who can play but doesn't give a stuff about looking the part by having all the beach muscles for the ladies.

Can see he already has the speed, strength, footy smarts of a good footballer. If he gets those Gold Coast beach muscles as well look out.

Looks a little Fyfe like being swung around in a tackle yet keeping his feet n dishing the handballs.
Same with some of his bursts through tackles to kick goals
