I can see you point.. But
Francis has the same ties to S.A
Unless we're after someone different all together
Who knows - clearly we weren't locked into Parish or Francis or we would have kept pick 3.

You would hope Clayton has all the information he needs to make the right call and we will all be happy.

I'd be happy with any of Curnow Burton Francis Oliver
Just think I forward half needs a extra top pick more then our defence right at this moment.
Say if we get Francis..
Which of Francis or KK does the sweeping across HB
Francis will cancel out KKs best asset/ position

But it's not my problem to deal with.

Go Suns

Yeah that would be bad. KK's role right now is hopefully something he continues to do for the next 12 years I would hope Francis' skill set can play a different role. I see him more of a smaller but meaner McGovern, can lock guys down, intercept and set up play and also switch on to bigger KPF's if we have a mid-game injury. The fact that he maybe able to rebound like KK is a bonus. The other reason I want him is that it appears he has the flexibility to play anywhere but it is flexible defender with skills that I want to get him for... because we all know McKenzie is never going to be that guy..

Callum Twomey said on the 'Road To The Draft' podcast that theres a chance of Parish being taken at Melbourne pick number 7 as Essendon are not 100% on taking him.

Also stated again that Milera is a strong chance to end up at Essendon.

Saw the above on a draft board - wouldn't be opposed to taking Parish if Curnow, Francis and Weidemen are all gone at our pick 6.

A 'go home risk' shouldn't exist. Full stop. I have no empathy for these little shits who refuse to play outside of their home city.

**** right off.
Josh Dunkley supposably not nominating Sydney, wants to stay in Melbourne to be with his family.

I hope W.C pick him up

2 years, I want out, I'm home sick... Wouldn't trust anyone who changes their mind about that. If Burton has changed his mind like that, when he gets some decent football under his belt he will want to jump home.

Wingard did it. Dangerfield eventually did it. Yeah i find it a bit lame. Their getting paid hundreds of thousands to play a sport they love. I guess some people just want it all.

I wouldn't want to live in Adelaide for 15 years of my life when I could be living on the Gold Coast for the same money, but that's just me. I see where they are coming from but it is an issue.

I visit the coast reguarly but i wouldnt want to live there. Great place to party and for a holiday break. Adelaide is a great place to live and raise a family. Sure it doesnt have all the glitz and glamour of the gc but its still a nice place to live, especially when your getting payed well and living in the better suburbs.

The reality is that an "AFL" club do not get it their own way every time.

The clubs use the "loyalty" card when it suits them but delist players for the club to improve.

I do not have an issue with the system. It just means the clubs have to make their "work place" a destination where players want to stay.

The " I visit the coast regularly but i wouldnt want to live there, its a great place to party etc etc" comment is so common from southerners. Im obviously biased as I was born in Southport and have lived on the GC for over 30 years but the Gold Coast has so much more to offer than just the tacky party scene and theme parks. It really is such a small part of the Gold Coast if you live here. The tourists really miss the best part of the Gold Coast as they don't really get to settle into the lifestyle.

We have an amazing hinterland, you can live on acres of land and be a 20 minute drive from the beach. Great waterways and offshore fishing, amazing beaches and surfing. Good employment opportunities. Cheap house prices (sort of) ... Also we have pretty much the best year round climate in the world as well. Oh and Gary Ablett!

Not having a dig at you at all either mate, im sure Adelaide is equally as great in different ways. Living in Australia, we are all pretty bloody lucky ! These draft kids should embrace wherever they end up as it would all be such a good experience!

Yeah you beat me to it, great post. In hindsight I can see that I am definitely being disrespectful to Adelaide which is not my intention. I guess the main difference for me is the climate. The Gold Coast has it all but it is the climate that makes its special for me. When you can walk down the beach, shirt off in the middle of July you know you live somewhere special. To back up your point about the tacky night life - The GC 600 was on recently and I didn't even realise... you can pick and choose what you want to do on the Gold Coast.
