Yep, well spoken and seems pretty grounded with a hint of a chip - which is not a bad thing at all for an X - factor player.

It's just a guess but I think we'll pick someone else and Ah Chee will go to a club with at least 2 picks in the top 20.

another guess is that we'll pick someone else and watch Ah Chee tear it up from day one and then we can start the new debate on why we took X and not Ah chee

I don't like the way Gresham bounces the ball. That is my input there.

Guys who can and do bounce with their wrong hand are to be preferred.

You see, drafting is easy!

Brendon Gale said on triple M a few weeks ago, that he think we might be looking for a small forward with our first pick. The only options really at that pick are Milera and Ah Chee - so we are obviously strongly considering. Would froth if we got him.

Kierabath (Spelling:confused:) Or Lovell from Hobart? Seems there are a number of small forward possibilities? But I know your saying at that pick, but it would be interesting to see what the hit/miss % are on taking small forwards later ?

Just listening to D.R on the clubs site and he's saying they had interest in Townsend and Trelor which hints that we had interest in 2 guys that could play inside. That may give a little insight into who we may go for draft wise ?

We need players that won't burn in the September sun. Thats our problem IMO.
We cant win a final under the September sun because its just too hot for all those Rangas out there.

2013 V Carlton was a nice sunny day
2014 V Port was a nice sunny day
2015 V North was a nice sunny day

Nice tanned blokes please who love the heat.

Haven't really had a look at all draft options.... But Oliver to me looks like a clear stand out if he was available at our pick.
The fact that he loves the Tiges doesn't hurt either.

As much as people say this draft lacks class, I am genuinely stoked about 5 options who could be available for us at our first pick and can't see how we can lose with any of them.

It just goes to show where our list is at that it is hard to know the type of player we should recruit.

I know what you mean, but I do recall one bloke who had a boat called Punt Rowed being taken with our first pick...

But let's not talk about that

We have obviously have different recollections regarding Martin. It is what it is.

I do remember Conca being a 15-20 pick. I remember he had to e flown last minute to the Gold Coast because we had decided to take him at 6. My point re Conca was more to do with why we drafted him as opposed to where. Though I admit the path of conversation may have led to that conclusion. He was still at the time (again my recollection) seen as a solid citizen and a vanilla player. Jack of all trades master of none.

Re leadership you make a good point which I cannot help but agree with. I do not believe in both examples however that it could be the ONLY reason for success/ failure. Though I will admit a large part of it. I would add leadership to my list of why we have been able to improve during compromised years.
Martin was always top 3 so much so that Sydney offered us 2 first round picks just to get pick 3 so they could get Martin

IMO the club will draft to improve our small
Forward options.
Those small Forward options are already on our list . Cotchin , Cellis , Lennon , Sheds , Deledio , Conca , Yarran .
We recruit another big bodied mid and they won't have to play inside as often .

Really wouldn't help that problem adding Townsend, Moore and Oliver in one off season!

I like Gresham (very nice kick) but I don’t see him being worth a pick 12. Nothing like Boomer Harvey imo either. Whoever came up with that description must have done it solely based on size.

Based on last season (h/a) small forward. We were ranked one of the lowest for forward pressure and didn't get many crumbing goals. Based on the EF another KPD or an inside mid.
Everytime we lose we fail in the guts. While we also need a lot more pressure in the fwd 50, it didn't cost us much during the year. Because we play more mids thru the fwd 50 we play differently than a normal fwd line. What it means is those players who do play in that area just need to be more switched on and be told they have to tackle more. Ideally having to draft the 2 positions would be better. KPD for the future.
