I was thinking about talk of Oliver going top 10.
I still really want him because he could fill a big need for us especially if Moore and Townsend end up just as stopgaps.
But top 10 seems a slight stretch for Oliver and I reckon he will be available to us at 12.
Sure he had a great TAC in the end, but he was most often playing against the lesser-likes.
I know he had some injuries but he didn't get picked for rep.
And he's a bolter, he's really come out of nowhere into these calculations. Most of the possible top 12-15 from this year would have been locks generally, so I don't see why he will displace them. Cockatoo got drafted top 10 based on 1 game so he was a bolter too, and so far he has looked just meh at AFL level.
Anyway here's hoping, cause I want a young contested bull at the club!
About as much chance of me opening the batting for Australia on Friday in the cricket as Clayton Oliver slipping outside the top 10. No way he'll be around at Pick 12.

There are definitely 11 players that could go before him, not including the academy kids.

And someone on here said something about him requesting Richmond? Though how much truth was in that who knows...

Here's my prediction:

1. CARL - Weitering
2. BRIS - Shache
3. MELB - Parish
4. ESS - Francis
5. ESS - Weideman
6. GC - Mathieson
7. MELB - Curnow
8. CARL - McKay
9. ADEL - Milera
10. GWS - Gresham
11. CARL - Balic
12. RICH - Oliver

I think if we're gonna get trumped for Oliver anywhere it will be at Carlton's pick right before ours. But I reckon we'll get him :)

You don't reckon Mathieson will go top 10?
Tucker is an interesting call, haven't heard his name come up much.
Why do you think Essendon will pass on Parish? A few people said he could be the best player in the draft.

Ah Chee just doesnt have the Wingard traits about him at all. TBH he has more of the Oakley nicholls traits.
quite confident but hope to be proven wrong if we select him.
Oakley-Nicholls we chose because we didn't have any proper recruiters and we had NFI at the time.
He wasn't even worth top 50 on what we saw at AFL level. Doubt we'd make that mistake again.

Just be wary that Brendon Ah Chee has taken 3-4 years to even get a crack at the big time. And when he did he was quite impressive this year. If we do go for Ah Chee I expect him to take a year or two too make the grade. No probs with that btw if the club rate him that high

If he's at the Blues' pick 8- they'll take him.

Essendon will get Parish, Dees will pass on him I believe. Everyone has their opinions, I don't think Matho will be top 10. Should get past Richmond's pick too, St Kilda likely his destination.
