If he's at the Blues' pick 8- they'll take him.

Essendon will get Parish, Dees will pass on him I believe. Everyone has their opinions, I don't think Matho will be top 10. Should get past Richmond's pick too, St Kilda likely his destination.
Heard the Saints love him, was one of the reasons they eventually agreed to trade pick 5 because they thought there was a decent chance they could get him at 14.

The steal of the night will be whoever gets Glass-McCasker
He looks good doesn't he? I really liked him for our 2nd rounder if we kept it. Nice size, good defensively and offers a lot of creativity running it out of defense.

Would've been perfect fit under Rane's wing

As I have already pointed out it was put to him at the start of the year he needed to play like Rockcliffe who was also a bushranger and then later in the season like Cripps . Oliver has been on the radar for almost 10 years he was encouraged by his fav club to play like that and this comes from being directly privy to some of these events or conversations with his father , Steve .
I don't h believe that a 17 / 18 year olds career is moulded in 8-9 months .
I think you also need to consider the undisclosed line of questioning that leads up to clips put together . I suggest it went something like
' So clayton some say you play like rockcliffe and Cripps '
I'd like to play like rockcliffe and Cripps '
What a minute I'll just ask that again as we record .
' So Clayton who do you want to play like '
Don't forget these kids are often doing their first interview , are shitting razor blades and as such are easily lead .
Keep in mind that Oliver as a junior was a aerobic machine and in 2014 played in senior footy as a KPF .
LOL give it a rest you were proved wrong..

Ah Chee to the tiges you reckon?

Also a fan, hopefully he or Skinner is still on the board at our second selection.

If I was Hawthorn (had two late first round picks) I would use one of them on McCasker.

Agree. He looked b grade in skippos highlights. Afl highlights make him look the goods. Draft video takes him up a notch again. Confident. Competitive. Is a footy head. And has a health release.
Agreed. I actually really like him now. IMEO, notwithstanding the recruitment of Townsend and Moore, he's exactly what we need most. Ah Chee not so much as Lennon is a similar type of forward, and Yarran can run up there now if we need, plus we have Menadue, Butler and Short coming through. I like Ah Chee, but I'm just worried because he's a boom bust type, and we're due for a bust in the first round. Mathieson is a back to back all australian, got 10 clearances in the VFL playing for Geelong as a kid. His fitness is poor but if anything that's a sign of his potential upside, because it won't be due to poor work ethic.

Preferences:

Oliver > Mathieson > Gresham > Ah Chee > Collins > McKay

Also get the impression that Ah Chee is a smaller Lennon, although I find it unlikely he will bust, more I question his potential. Does he develop into a midfielder or is he an undersized half forward? Just not sure where he sits, but at the same time wouldn't be disappointed if we did pick him and his development would be interesting to watch.

Mathieson is also my number one in the event that Burton leg is too much of a risk. Collingwood fan on T&D board said he has heard we are strongly interested in.

Which McKay?

Im jumping on the Ah Chee bandwagon after watching his highlights. Reasons being.
1. Oliver looks gone
2. Ah Chee fills a need. Hes the kind of forward that other teams will need to respect unlike Morris and lloyd.
3. Overhead marking is a weapon
4. Genuine leg speed
5. Creativity by hand and foot. Our talls will love leading to him. With Ah Chee, Lennon and lids amongst others such as dust and c ellis delivering inside 50 our side will be dangerous.
6. Hes played his best footy this year against men. I think as he will play mostly forward for the time being he will be ready to play sooner rather than later. He'll be told to base his game on pressure and the offense will come

Harry, more runs on the board. Possibly a bit too much of the same for us though, with Griff, Vickery and McBean. I like the very little I've seen of Ben in defence though.

No you just wish to take a opportunity to play the man which is fine I couldn't give a shit . I don't fence sit and I happily put my opinion out there and are happy for it to be questioned . I am also happy to question others which sees some soft cocks jump on board when they think they have landed a decent blow . Going to however come up with something better than this .

For whoever it was that also questioned whether this kid had been observed for 10 or so years . His nickname as a kid was daewoo or something similar and had very curly blondish red hair.
He moved schools after a schoolboys carnival in an attempt to get into the bushrangers system rather than the pioneers. The only way he could get to the bushies was if he was living in the bushies zone, so his parents sold their house in echuca and bought a house in mooroopna .
He was best on ground for the GVFL in their under 18 inter league clash last year , think he also got the medal and was named as such and was also named the league's rising star for 2014. The GVFL's junior development officer is Mario desanta ( spell ??) and somewhere on you tube there was a review of the game where Oliver gained big wraps . Think the segment is GVFL footy or something similar and would be have been uploaded late May early June last year .
He has one older brother and his father is a tradie.
Pick your target a little better next time .

More info we have, the better.

There's a kid who plays in my boy's under 9's who is a freaking superstar. Other club has already enquired about his schooling plans, and offered to help out.

I'm sure FJ has a big black book, and that Oliver - along with most others we are discussing - has been in it for a long time

Balic actually looks so much better than ah chee. Think people are over rating ah chee.
Someone mentioned ah chee from port was impressive this year. Never heard of him until now

Ah Chee admits his best footy is played on instinct and struggles a bit when having to consider structures. Also don't know how that would translate with the need for a defensive side to his game.

Should I look at him as just an opportunistic type player or will time and team assist with bringing more to his game without crushing the instinctive?
