- 5 seconds, drop mark and an easy one
- 30 seconds, handballs to no one
- 2:26 just kicks to open space - get caught doing that in the AFL and your history.
- 4:32 drops a mark, was good to get the second effort going though but keep in mind its against 18 year olds.
- 4:55 runs into an open goal probably 25 metres out and misses. Imagine that in a crucial game
- 5:50 drops a sitter off his chest
- 8:17 was very soft and honestly would be disgusted if this happened in a real game. reminds me a lot of Oakley-nicholls
- 8:31 drops the ball, was way too slow, especially for someone who is labelled as quick. (doesn't look flashy)
- 8:46 even though he got the free kick I think he was very lucky and most of the time will be holding the ball.
- 9:12 Handball cut off, poor awareness
- 9:18 doesn't get the kick away. will give him this one though because he's still young but in the AFL will be demolished
- 9:54 turns the ball over
- 10:04 hospital handball causing the turnover
- 10:44 kicks the ball out on the full, a pretty bad one
- 10:55 handballs to someones feet
- 11:28 kicks across back to goal and a poor one that his team mate couldn't even get the ball. This doesn't seem that bad in an under18's type match but if it ever happened in the AFL he would be dropped and probably for a while considering i've seen a lot of other bad traits.
- 12:29 he's 25 metres out DIRECTLY in front and missed. Just not good enough especially for a forward.
- 12:50 verrrrry casual kick putting his team mate under extreme pressure.

pretty much everything else he does is a standard uncontested mark and kick..that would seem right for a 2nd or 3rd rounder. I'm not against you, I'm just stating the facts. I've had a good record with predicting who will become good out of the draft. Not once in his highlight reel he showed his 'elite' speed and weave through traffic. I don't think he's that kind of player and if he's NOT, he simply shouldn't be a pick 12, I'm sorry. I dont see anything flashy like a Wingard/Cyril/Burgoyne's/Garlett. Maybe he gets away from players and has runs, but I would find it odd that is wasn't in his 'Highlight' reel.

Who knows..maybe in a few years like 4-6 he will become a valuable asset. it might be too late for us then. I will support him just like I did with Conca, but hoping we really make the right decision on this.
Go tigers!
But other than that what did he do wrong

I watched the video too, he really just looks like a lazy footballer and doesnt really highly possess any of the attributes we want his kind of player for. He's not THAT quick or evasive, no flashiness, and doesn't appear to chase or tackle. He doesn't excite me and these are supposed to be HIGHlights!!

Honestly if Oliver is gone I really hope we don't take Ah Chee, we'd be MUCH better in choosing Balic, Gresham, Collins or even Burton, who all look much better footballers especially in the position they play, and at least the first 3 are Victorians.

If it comes down to Richmond wanting a player like Ah Chee then in Ah Chee vs Gresham, Gresham wins easy.

I partially agree with Dave and Todd as I'm not sold , but Chaplin is not the true leader when the real battle is on. He should have taken Waite or even suggested it to a runner xxxx tell DH that batch is being monstered in size .wtf are we doing about it?
Instead games go on for too long and the damage is done
I don't think we would miss him
Has been a good get though, and undoubtedly helped Rance become the player he is.

Ah Chee has looked down on pace ect.. in the 2nd half of the year. Considering his best 20m is sub 2.9 and he ran over 3 at draft camp is he tanking or is his ankle still giving him problems?

Gresham and Mathieson will be the best outside the top ten imo, Burton is a match winner and is a top 5 talent, I'm hoping we take one of them if we don't take Oliver or Collins

Yeah, thats nice. But David Rodan had a consistent year before he was drafted too. In fact, Rodan had TWO consistent years in a row winning the Morrish 2 years in a row if memory serves me correct.

Ergo its about how well they will translate into the AFL.
True but that applies to all draftees including no 1 picks.

According to Emma Quayle on Facebook we have given up on Oliver now, as he seems destined to go top 10. We have instead focused on Ah Chee, Burton, Milera and Rioli.

I personally have heard we are firming at Collins for our first.
Agree. With Quayle that we have no chance of landing Oilver
Happy with the 4 that Quayle is suggesting...she has been on the money in the past
But Milera will likely be snafflelled by Crows...Burton may still be there...unlikely so it's Ah Cheese or Ravioli

"From East Point, Rippon has excelled in his 49 VFL matches under FitzGerald, since finishing runner-up in the Morrish Medal in 2012 for the TAC Cup best and fairest. He has averaged 24 disposals in 18 matches this season."

Only 176cm which is why he didn't get drafted a few years ago so probably won't be exactly what everyone on here wants to hear but if you can play you can play, anyone who wins the Liston at 21 years of age is worth a spot on the rookie list for mine
