We currently have Sandi, Griffin, Clarke, Hannath and Moller as (maybe a forward ruck. ) all competing for the one spot. Other than Moller, none of these guys should be playing anything but Ruck.

We have Smith, Silvagni, McPharlin, Johnson, A Pearce, Dawson competing for 2 or 3 positions
and Pavlich, Taberner and Apeness competing for 2-3 forward spots.

This is shocking list balance, no one Taberner has been gifted games.

We need to delist\trade some rucks out of our side. We need a proper forward ruck, and we need to sign some more KPF's now.
Ideally 1-2 mature age players plus 1-2 draftees.
This could almost have it's own thread to highlight the experience holes we have in the tall list.

We have very little experience front or back.

Surely any talk of Luenburger coming in is stupid unless 2 other rucks go out. (Why offer clarke )

We need 3 more key forwards especially with Pav only 1 year left.

Shoenmaker would be great. Look at players like McBean and see if they have any interest, off them a game round 1 as a forward ruck.

We have to do something, otherwise we will waste the best midfield we have ever have and playing 2-3 rucks is not the answer.
Freo said they have a couple of potential signings that are very advanced in negotiations. I have no idea why they signed Clarke, if they are pursuing Leuey, but Leuey is a bit reluctant to do so much travel with his body problems. Schoe and McBean may be on our radar but who knows if they are interested in coming. If it is true litherland wants to come home, I hope we are all over him. This is going to be wait and see, unfortunately.

Spot on. Far too many rucks. Not enough ruck/forwards and forwards.

I can't believe we gave Hannath a new contract.

Apeness was/is supposed to become our ruck/forward.

Litherland is very quick has some height and has neat disposal. He'd be a good get and slot in off half back
Litherland is an interesting prospect. He will probably be looking for more opportunities you would think, as Hawks have so much depth. Is he capable of playing KPD or is he more of a third tall rebounding defender, like Ibbitson? if so he could be a good replacement for MJ when he retires

If Bondy somehow pulls off a Jetta/McCarthy/Bennell trifecta I'll take back all the unpleasant things I've ever said about him and his 'list management model'. Well, maybe not all of them, but a lot of them anyway.
If he adds Bootsma, Mitch Brown\Shoenmaker and McBean (or another fwd\ruck) plus the trifecta while trading out 2 rucks for good value he will be my biggest hero (sorry Fyfe;))

More your third tall rebounding type similar to Bootsma.

I read this and immediately thought *PSD*.

He's only coming to WA, and our pick will be before WCE's.

:thumbsu:
would he get that far in the psd? and I imagine Sydney will simply trade him to WC instead. Jetta is not fussed which WA club he gets too.

Does anyone remember Lyon saying he/club is meeting with players the Saturday before the Doig? Isn't that this Saturday/tomorrow?

Purely putting on my Freo goggles here.. But, no other clubs outside of WA will pick him as they've seen 1st hand what he's (not) capable of whilst his mind is focused on being at home. If WCE is still in the mix for Redden - their 1st pick won't be an option. And (re: any Selwood compo pick) does Geelong really have room in their midfield for Scooter if they score Dangerfield?
