Swap our third rounder for their 4th rounder, and we'll pay his now inflated contract (which we pushed up 2 years ago).
North definitely screwed him over, Brown and Waite coming in since re-signing.
Black screwed himself over by being shit, did you see his 2014.

In all honesty though, he lacks confidence after serious shoulder problems and surgery after the 2014 season.

I'm pretty sure the Twisties factory must go into overdrive during trade period.

BTW, I ended up going out and getting a subway and a packet of chicken twisties for lunch, damn you all.

Colin Young was promoted as being on trade radio today but wasn't. Pity, he is the manager of a lot of our players and the two we are hoping to get in. Maybe he was busy in player meetings today? Do the managers go to those?

Do you want the cap space?
No, cap space is alright with the retirements of Adams and grima and some of the veterans accepting lower pay. Black is still signed to 2017, which was done after his 2013 season when he was still good. Injuries have destroyed his confidence as a player, a fresh start at home appears to be required. We didn't give him the opportunities because frankly, he's been poor the last two seasons.

Yeah he was awful from what I saw. Doesn't sound like he did much in the vfl either. I guess we would take our chances on him if the price was right.

Needs a fresh start and a confidence injection, not the essendon kind either.

People don't forget how to play football. Black has obviously lost his way but who is to say that if he came home for a 3rd rounder and spend half a season at Peel out of the limelight he mightn't find form. His best is very good, definitely worth a gamble at a reduced price.

I reckon Mayne should go back to Peel for a while too and try and remember what it was that made him a good player. Has become so wooden with trying too hard he looks like he's never seen a footy before when he kicks.

It's all in Black's marking ability. If he can't win a contested mark then his lack of agility and speed mean he becomes a liability with the ball on the ground.

I haven't seen him marking the ball strongly since his operation.
