Well, Spencer White has a great highlights video ... If he produces that consistently then he'd be an upgrade on Tabs IMO. Not sure about the others.

Those same supporters wanted Priddus dropped middle of last year.
So? The fact that it's being discussed, to me shows they know a bit more about football than old mate off the street. They had, and still have, excellent points about his disposal, speed and whether he's a net benefit to the team (they beat the Hawks without him). His year this year has been much better (less kicking, less link-up play).

Don't be a pillock and assume every poster on their board has the same opinion, or write off any opinion based solely on it coming from a West Coast fan.

Ok! A little sensitive there? Got nothing to do with them being WCE fan btw. I know many have a lot to offer.

I've always found that it's a good policy to pick up players that have been delisted by other clubs. (At this point I will take the time to point out that that is sarcasm as you obviously didn't pick up on the tongue in cheek nature of my last post.)

I'd actually be interested to see the success rate with that.

Sorry to intrude but hopefully this is the right place to post this.
We need a small forward you guys need a 1st round pick.

What are your thoughts on our Pick 12 for Ballantine and Pick22?

At 29 next season I think thats a more than fair trade and we can than use 22 for Yarran while hopefully our 12 gets you Mcarthy.

I'm not big on trading away top end older talent while we are in the window.

A McCarthy and Bennell off season would be huge for you guys and the only best 22 player you would lose in Ballantine.
Whats Croziers development going like? I know we have shown interest in the past.

Although I wouldnt offer the same scenario for him.

Anyone else you think would hold the same value?
I guess it all depends if u guys are any chance of GWS letting McCarthy go.
We struggle for forwards as it is. Plus it's only a 10 pick upgrade. Points wise equivalent to somewhere late in the 2nd round?

No-ones convinced 12 and next years first get it done anyway.

In 1997 GF Crows had Jarman, Ellen as leading goal kickers, we have already picked up Bennell who can replicate Jarmans
freaky skill set, and our Ellen type is Alex Pearce.
Whether we aquire McCarthy or not, we have done the best out of all clubs, on recruiting the one player with the most
Talent.
Add a couple of key positions, Black, Shaw, and mature agers and we have done enough to be in contention next year.

I'd prefer Griffiths than some small draft upgrade. Then we can not worry about paying overs for McCarthy.
Was going to suggest him but not many outsiders rate him.
He would benefit heaps being the number 1 target. Good mark and long kick but his hunger for the pill is sometimes questioned. Like I said make him the focus point and things will change.

Pick 22 alone would see it get done.

Not the worst mate. I agree with others that Ballas wouldn't leave but all else being equal it's fair.
That said I think both clubs would seriously entertain the idea if it resulted in you getting Yarran and us getting McCarthy.
We would probably need another pick thrown out way because we have cleared out a few. Your second would probably be overs but that's what I'd ask but we definitely need your 3rd.
You'd hope Crozier could cover or even Pearce pushed forward as another small forward.
Yeah not the worst idea.

I would give up 22 for Griffiths.

McLeod was devastating and kicked multiple goals and plays more like Bennell.

Jarman Is more like Walters, super intelligent football player.

They also had blight as coach who is the opposite style coach to Ross.

ELlen was a defender from memory, hadn't kicked 10 goals in his career it would be like Ibbo kicking 4 for us.

They also had Robran who was a very good CHF.

I would like to keep our 2nd as I believe it will be our 2nd and Astbury for Lions 17. Our 3rd as token pick I would do the deal.
I dont like the idea of you guys getting stronger but its needed to obtain a player of Ballas quality. We need a small forward.

Well you guys would get stronger too!
You need Ballas at the feet of your talls, I think he is a bit shot being asked to play a certain way. Playing as a true crumber with some defensive pressure he'd fit in to the game style of Richmond.
Like I said if all parties knew it would get the second deal done it would be silly not to consider it.
At the end of the day we've effectively still lost pick 22, future first round and Ballantyne and although it overs for McCarthy it's likely what they'd accept. Like I said many on here will disagree and I do to, to a point but it is roughly what'll take.
Morris and Ballas at training worth it just for the lols.

Draft Rioli with your 1st pick would be a better bet.

I would trade pick 22 for McBean and your 3rd round pick assuming the McCarthy trade is dead.

If feels like since we drafted Pavlich we have not drafted a good key forward since. That's more than 15 years...

If the solution of getting a key forward by trading is not working then we should really consider our list manager and scouters roles. McCarthy was picked 12th, we could have easily traded to be in the top 10 to grab him before GWS do and we would have given up much less than we will now. And Hogan - not sure why we didn't go more aggressive on this one. GWS stated they wanted an established player (and probably a pick) for the right to draft him in the mini draft. Melbourne got away with murder on that one. Everyone knew he was going to be a gun eventually, needed to be more aggressive.

Let's stop trying to poach other teams key forwards as it has not worked at all over the past 5 years. We need to develop our own, but it starts with being in a position to draft the right one.

Hill can play the Mcleod role of half back, and wing, Tabs will probably end up with similar numbers to Robran. The point
I was trying to make is that the list next year is good enough, add Weller, Langdon, Crozier, all can hit the scoreboard.
Have to be more like Blight, and think outside the square, different permutations for Finals footy.
