Apparently keen on Ex-Geelong Brown - invited to state combine testing

also a list of WA players - if anyone can shed some light on them?

WESTERN AUSTRALIA
Marcus Adams – West Perth
..
Shane Yarran – Subiaco
I am glad they (we?) could be looking at Marcus Adams. Big brute of a man who has come up from Amos and only nominated for the draft this year for the first time but has good speed for his size and kicks well. If his tank is ok (would have been working on it this year), he would be a good backup bash and crash KPF/ruck like we are hoping Apeness will be. Reminds me of Troy Wilson (Eagles) but I think has a few more strings to his bow - can play ruck as well.

I must admit I know little about this guy but having looked at his WAFL profile he's kicked two goals and had ten hitouts all season. Those stats suggest he's probably a defender who occasionally does the third man up role.

Your right. Two games I saw him must have been last year and he was playing forward/pinch hitting ruck then and kicked four in one of the games. Must have switched to defense this year. He is 193 cm which I guess these days although being Pavlich size is an awkward height for AFL. He is built though so reckon if he positions well enough he would be hard to move out of the way and still tall enough to be dangerous. 22 this year. Maybe they could also be thinking big-bodied utility mid like Yeo, Fyfe etc. etc.

McPharlin, May, Richards, Grundy etc all do ok and they are similar height to Adams. He's heavier than a lot of key forwards. If he were to struggle at afl level it'd be because he's not good enough.

That could be his key weakness from limited observation. Can kick it a mile and is quick across the ground and an excellent grab overhead but not sure about his turning circle.
Turning circle/agility is fine. He did a job on Yarren who is shorter and very mobile.
