If we can convince him to do so, it could happen. It's not like he has any love left for Essendon from what I've read. Unlikely anyone would give what you'd ask for (Ess/Dodoro traditionally difficult to deal with in trades) and given SOS wants us to keep as many firsts as possible - not out of question at all.
He's a player from the our best 22 not some bloody fringe/spud the club has every right to try and get maximum value for him.

Exactly this, I think it happens a lot not just with Carlton fans, thinking they can get opposition players for nothing in the PSD, especially good players. If people think guys like Aish and Carslile will go in the PSD they are sorely mistaken.

Fair call, so the Bombers did ok, didn't realise Carlise was part of it
We got the pick that we took Carlisle in the deal. We would have taken him with 16 anyway so in essence it was was Jay Nash (who would have been delisted) for Williams and a 9 pick upgrade.

Does its relevance unnerve you?

My challenge to you is to offer a coherent response.
I've been on
But Burgoyne nominated Hawthorn, taking other clubs out of the equation. Hence the leverage.

Like I said, Hawthorn used their leverage to push through a favourable trade.

Which part of that do you disagree with?
the way you used the word "leverage" it's your go to with every conversation! Does every trade involve using "leverage"? Or does it just apply to The Hawks?

Already gone: McIntosh (on good coin too mind you), Hartman
Going: Rivers, Enright, Stokes, Kelly, Simpson
Playing for peanuts next season and have half their salary outside the cap: Bartel, Mackie, Johnson

We also missed out on Frawley, we traded Varcoe and Christensen who were on decent $$ and are paying under 100% of the cap.

I think we will have ample cap space.
The veterans allowance changed. You don't get half their salary outside the cap. It's been that way for a couple of years now. Veterans allowance of approx $116,000 (per eligible player) is outside the cap. The rest is included in the cap.

I'll get us started with a couple that I have personally heard.
Rance offered 800k by Freo
West Coast are trying to pursuit Daniel Rich and Stephen Coniglio.
Richmond are after Jamie Elliot.
Carlton loading up a warchest to go after Jack Darling when out of contract.
Cale Hooker offered big money by both WA clubs.
Jake Carlisle offered big money by the bulldogs.
Bombers are in with a chance to land Dangerfield.
Just rumours at this point but interested to see what everyone has heard.
I haven't read all of this thread so apologies if this is already been posted.

Dangerfield has bought a place at Moggs Creek, 100%. What that means with regards to his destination I don't know

Carlisle's preferred destination is the Dogs

Have heard Danger is gone. Rumours are saying the dogs don't want him.

That's a shame for Jake, he'll have to play for someone he doesn't want to.

Just read Hendo most likely to end up Cattery
Cats get- Henderson
Blues get- Jake Carlisle
Bombers get- Cats first rounder (currently pick 10) & fringe player?
Is the fringe player coming from Essendon?

Geelong would be stupid to pay a first round pick + any player for an overrated muppet like Henderson.

Yep, but I believe Geelong have seven who will be on the veterans list next season, which will see nearly a million outside the cap.

From Carlton, Henderson is worth about that pick, Carlisle a bit more, so Carlton should offload someone like Graham or Holman as well.
