Both as bad as each other in my opinion. Mudgee is better than both.
The benefit of sydney for our players is they arent getting hounded every 5 mins.
The only redeeming feature of Mudgee is its butterscotch schnapps, which I'm sending my parents out to get tomorrow. :D

Looks like lots of clubs are trying to sign Robbie Tarrant as a FA. HUN reporting that the lions could offer as much as 500k, can't see us matching that personally but hoping the loyalty card plays some sort of hand given that we've stuck by him whilst he couldn't get out on a park for 3 years.
I don't think anyone outside of a north support believes that, I think you can relax

Apparently Aish is tossing up between a couple of Melbourne clubs next year and wont be going back to Adelaide.
So apparently was half of the GWS side, half the Melbourne football media should write for the Women's Weekly with their propensity to embellish

Living in Sydney id disagree a little: he is great mates with Ward. That and the bright future of GWS had a huge pull (and the big money) I see him regularly with ward and other GWS players at the beach having a great time. The players some here for the money, but also because it's an aweosme city to live in. I think Sydney is going to become a very nice location for players in the future. More so then the Gold Coast
Both have there advantages and disadvantages

Sydney and the GC share the relative anonymity for players which I think is a huge advantage

Sydney has big city appeal and better weather than Melbourne

GC has outdoors lifestyle, great weather but is small in comparison to Melbourne or Sydney

Melbourne has the football history and football culture, can be great or suffocating depending on the individual

Haha. No traffic. Pubs. No people.
Nothing for an hour in any direction except coal mines and farms. One Hunters and Collectors concert wasn't enough to change my opinion. ;) Might be slightly different if I liked wine, I do admit.

Yeah, that's not true.

Plus - the weather is fantastic compared to Melbourne.

(Note: I don't live there, but have lived in both)
I live just 1h 30 mins south of Sydney, it's beatiful down there, occassional trip to central Sydney is lovely

I hate the beach.
I don't own a boat.

If you don't do either of those things Sydney is a rubbish place to live. Outdated public transport, pathetic roads, over-priced real estate, terrible pubs, average restaurants, surrounded by flogs...Shit place to live.
I prefer Melbourne as well - love the cold weather and the more European feel.

You forgot being an AFL fan in an NRL obsessed city. Broncos ugh!

I'm sure as an AFL player I'd love living in Sydney. Not having people coming up to you every 10 seconds would be huge. But everyone's different. That's why some stay and some go home. Also why some get traded to Sydney/Brisbane.

Maybe getting off topic here but I love living in adelaide. Have friends in Sydney and they talk about how even something as simple as wanting to get fresh milk is a trek that will involve time , traffic , waiting in long line ups and basically becomes a huge mission.

Used to live in Sydney and spent heaps of time in Melbourne.

Footy is awesome in Melbourne.

Traffic is shit in Sydney.

Apart from that Sydney shits over Melbourne. Catching the ferry to work is magical.

Melbourne is better than Sydney in literally every way.
What about beaches?

What does Melbourne have that eclipses Bondi, Bronte, Tamarama and Clovelly in the eastern suburbs and Freshwater, Manly, Collaroy, Dee Why and Avalon in the north?

Another good thing about Sydney is that it doesn't have a churning inferiority complex.

I just wish the kids were a bit more honest. Boyd never wanted to come to Sydney but his ego wanted to be number 1 pick.

When I found out Wingard told us if you pick me I'll leave for nothing in 2 years initially I thought he was a punk but with time to reflect I respect it as he saved us a pick.

As you say though everyone is different.
