Doubt it. I really rate Clurey and think they'll try to cling on to him - you don't get that running capacity and size in a player very often.
Maybe Clurey will find Port Adelaide's overly clingy way of dealing with him too much and he will decide he needs to be with a cooler club, a club that will give him the space he needs to be with his friends without checking up on him constantly, a club that does not automatically assume that he is talking to other clubs behind their back.

We have some depth. It's just that when you are sitting 3rd on the ladder with a an 11 & 3 record it's difficult not to go with the core group that have got you there in the first place. With injuries to McGlynn, Rohan, Pyke, Laidler, regular ins & outs of players in every match, such as the reports to Buddy & Tippett, then the stability & continuity of the team takes a hit.

We know when we've won the last two flags, our back six have nearly played every match that season.
The back six more than any other line are the group that needs to be the most stable.

Every week we lose one or two from that line.
With Teddy possibly missing 2 or 3 & Laidler having ankle issues, we will be further tested.

Shaw had a crack last night. I love him for his leadership even though his body can no longer do what his mind is asking it to do. It happens. But I can now see why he & Goodes are still there.

Now we sit 11& 4 with more injuries & backs against the wall & the media & whole world against us.
It is what our previous p'ship heroes fed on.
It's exactly the stuff that drove them.
As a supporter, I can never give up on this club. I just won't. None of us should. We are the very people they came over to & hugged jumping with joy when they became premiership heroes. We loved them then on the good days. It is only right that we love & support them now. We may have to close our eyes at certain points of games, but we are a very easy club to love with what they have given us over the last 20 years.

We've been through this before, after we lost Kirk, Kennelly, Baz, Micky O, Leo, Crouchy, Jolly, Fosdike, Ablett, Buchanan, Benny Matthews, Nick Davis, Craig Bolton, ..............

How on earth do you win a P'ship after losing such a group of stars?
We did it. As a club, we found the players that were prepared to take us to the well again. Shaw, Richards, Mummy, Kennedy, Reid, Parker, Pyke.
We found them in all manners.

The dust hasn't settled as far as the Victorian media are concerned so they are looking to spill some new blood & with the recruitment of Buddy & Tippett, the jealous f . . Ks think there is nothing better than Bloods blood!

As supporters we need to back our club & not bag out on our young players. I was disgusted this morning to hear that drunk that can't put two words together in Robert Shaw, absolutely bag Towers. It's irrelevant if he's right or wrong, but these pricks don't dish out the same scathing criticism of their own miserable failing clubs' players.

Mark Fine lashed out on Tippett pretty much saying he was soft for taking himself off with the damaged hand.
He hasn't done any research to see how bad Tippo's injury is but was quite happy to go off early.

One more thing.
I'm not in the mood for discussing who we should have on our list & who we shouldn't have. IT'S TOO LATE!
We are 16 rounds into season 2015 & we can't trade players in & out.
So be realistic!

GO BLOODS!
A bit harsh on Shaw, I listened and agreed with him. Read Rohan Connelly's take on the Swans its spot on. Some people have been spoilt over the last 20 years and don't know what its like to be shit. Its not just last Saturday, its since we beat the Hawks the 1st time and we were lucky to get out of it.

We have good ground work for our team for years to come. The likes of hanners, parker and mitchell will make sure we are competitive around contests, but we need to take a hawthorn approach to recruitment, if you are not an above average afl kick, there is no place for you at our club.

Hopefully the dominence of the hawks for the best part of a decade will shift clubs away from trying to find the perfect athlete and recruit footballers. Good kicking skills is the most important attribute. You will never see a side with elite skills at the bottom of the ladder.

When you have foot skills all across the ground, you will obviously tear poorer opposition apart, but also be much more effective halting an oppositions run with control of the footy. When we "control " thr footy it consists of us sharing the ball in the back half ten times and then kick to a contest. The hawks will systematically take the footy up the ground whilst still slowing the play to get it on their terms.

Look at the Hawk's best players list every week!

You will see Hodge, Mitchell, Burgoyne, Lewis & Gibson in the top eight best players EVERY week they are playing.
That's why they are so superior at the moment.

That will end!
