I don't understand why people bother with ruck bench cover. Just allocate 1-2 from 30 trades for rucks. If one or both go down, just sideways them to the best available.

I'm trading McKernan for Kelly this week, I figure it's far more likely one of my defenders or mids go down then one my rucks. Only 1 trade left but I'm backing in Goldy and NicNat to play every game.

If NicNat or Goldy only miss a week due to a slight niggle or suspension then cheap ruck cover like Downie who I am getting in this week will prove invaluable.

Trading out Goldy or NicNat for only a one week lay off would be a waste unless you just cop the dounut.

I like having the peace of mind on my bench.

A very functional bench system at the moment, I'm in a weirdly wonderful position where I am almost hoping that Daniel stops playing and becomes a loopholing option. But I am often able to cover an injured mid (see Fyfe this week) with R.Gray via Steele/Lambert and bring Gawn onto the field anyway.

Max Gawn booted Ziebell out to F7/M9, but I've had to carry Taylor Adams and Stefan Martin over the last month so I've always had one bloke out and Ziebell plays ahead of Steele

Steele and Ziebell are my M9/F7 swaps though when everyone is fit
