Great draw. If the side continues the improvement on this year then finals are a big chance. Really happy with the run of home games before the end of the year

I understand this but if the Melb-Perth flight is seen as the norm, the AFL then gives us x3 slightly longer trips per year for the last 2 years. +Darwin humidityPeople need to understand that Virgin now put on direct flights for all of our games.
So Hobart is no longer a two-hopper with a delay in Melbourne.
Twilight Saturday games get a direct flight home that evening (not sure on the night games)
2 qld trips are the anomaly - one should have been scheduled the Sunday before the bye
All AFL teams have agreements with VirginI understand this but if the Melb-Perth flight is seen as the norm, the AFL then gives us x3 slightly longer trips per year for the last 2 years. +Darwin humidity
Im not using any flights as an excuse, only saying the AFL is doing us absolutely no favours by sending us to QLD twice, Tassie and Darwin mixed in with 6 day breaks and an ordinary use of the bye.
For example, the Perth Glory played their round 1 game v Wellington in NZ. This was deliberately done by the A-League to take out some of the travel factor for their most travelled team, Glory. I know this is a larger distance but at least the league was thinking about travel support.
Just puts things in perspective when Melb clubs see x2 trips to Perth as a large negative in their draw.
Are we wealthy enough to have a private jet yet?? Decked out with only 40 seats but with large stretching area and medical facilities? Im sure BHP and Bankwest could chip in?
How about Virgin find us a good second hand plane to buy and re-fit, they can put their stickers on it and supply the pilots and we rent it to Freo every other week at an exorbitant fee!!All AFL teams have agreements with Virgin
Even if we could afford chartered flights (which we could) we wouldnt be able to use them

Just realised my stupid brother is getting married on the 10th of April. We play Carlton that night, what a jerk!
It's only your brother. Ceremony will be in the day anyway, couple of free drinks at the start of the reception followed by us smashing carlton and then you can be back for the end of the reception when all those single women are depressed and lonely and looking for a lil bit of kyle.
I'm pissed off we always play Sydney at home. Waste of a home fixture because we never win. What utter shit, we have two sides in Sydney and we can't even get the Eagles here?
**** you AFL you campaigners.
Was very hopeful we'd get one.
Hopefully something to play for this time.Looking forward to Gold Coast away. Our royal blue wings against their orange and the green grass looked so good last season.
Have we played GC twice every year?
It's a good thing we keeping beating them, all their WA players must be wishing they were on the winning side for once...right?
Really annoyed there are only 4 games in VIC, but I guess it's a good excuse to travel to Adelaide and/or QLD.
I missed the Carlton match because of a wedding this year and to add to it the groom interrupted a speech to slag me off about the result. Sublime ya dickhead.Just realised my stupid brother is getting married on the 10th of April. We play Carlton that night, what a jerk!
My wedding is the weekend before round 1. Timing perfect.Just realised my stupid brother is getting married on the 10th of April. We play Carlton that night, what a jerk!

Were you at a winery in Maffra? So did I...were you at the same wedding as me?
i heard the same thing and got worriedSo we do, I read this morning that we played the dogs in Darwin, but that's Melbourne, I thought it was weird to play them twice as away games. My mistake![]()
To be fair you absolutely deserved it.I missed the Carlton match because of a wedding this year and to add to it the groom interrupted a speech to slag me off about the result. Sublime ya dickhead.

No smart man gets married during the season. My wedding is the weekend before round 1. Timing perfect.
Its not great, but considering the rest of the draw. DamnTwo trips to Queensland, one to Darwin, one to Hobart. Geezus.
