So we should hopefully have Bobby and White back in a fortnight or so. Gives Clurey and Amon a few games to get more experience at the top level.

Jasper Pittard is awaiting scan results to decide whether he plays in the Showdown on Sunday.

PORT Adelaide’s running half-back Jasper Pittard is unlikely to play in Sunday’s Showdown against the Adelaide Crows after injuring his left ankle.

4 to 6 I believe. Mate of mine is good mates with Bobby.

its probably best we put him in cotton wool for the season and get some games into our depth.

Time to try Butcher at CHB?

Any news on pittard scans?

Fingers crossed he comes up fast as he still needs more games under his belt but so does Impey, Krak and OShea. Perhaps we put broadbent out to pasture if Pittard returns and improve our depth stocks.

I agree. Speaking of defenders, Clurey really looks the goods and will only get better with more game time.

yep, I like Clurey

I think his first game was against Carlton last year and you could tell from that match that we were on a winner.

Thought I'd have a look at our top 25 players from 2014 and see how they're faring in 2015...

Top 25 players games missed in 2014 (inc. finals) - 38
Top 25 players games missed in 2015 (to R17) - 39 (44 inc. new players)

By the end of our season we would have had more injuries than in 2014, potentially in the region of 50-60% more injuries. I don't know how this compares to 2013 as I don't have the data for it. I only started counting injuries and PAFC BnF scores in 2014.

This doesn't take into account form or players playing under injury clouds.

The key differences are injuries to Polec and Wines in 2015 and the availability of Monfries in 2015.

Great stuff Forza. Whilst there is no doubt we have missed the precision kicking of Polec and his creative dash thru the middle and the lightning dash of White who not only has missed a few matches but was playing with a groin injury, it shows we have had many other issues before we put too much weight on the injury argument.
