Like both players and the "combo".
Going forward it is hard to fathom the overall benefit of playing both, long term, when ball movement is the prime focus
of the game and one Levi Casboult is such a solid back up ruckman.
Also lets Cas focus on just being a forward and lets him get into a rhythm. Working well at the moment.

Offensively his overall season has been well below his best imho. Huge part of that comes down to our team getting smashed earlier on though.

Defensively he's doing quite well although others may disagree with me.

I rate Yarran extremely highly though and teams are definitely putting in extra effort this year to shut him down. Obviously his game against the Dogs wasn't great but the Dogs are emulating Freo strongly at the moment with the way they congest space around the ground. Hopefully Yarran will improve again with Docherty coming back into our defence.

It wasnt his game that i was actually referring to but more his demeanor and his enthusiasm , Just his overall attitude didnt /wasnt like other times i have seen him - more uninterested

From what little we see on the televised cast he didn't look disinterested to me. Admittedly Carlton did came out rather flat and our hunger for the contest was lacking early on.

It was simply a dull scrappy game where Carlton kicked themselves out of it. Personally when I've been in the same situation it's rather deflating.

I definitely think Dixon is the guy we are chasing. Might explain why all our head honcho's went to the Gold Coast a while back.
If Yaz does go to one of the WA teams for a pick between 14-18, would gladly pass that onto GCS for Dixon.

Arguably he's been a bit angry and strange in attitude since Mick left (IIRC).

He was one player who seemed to bond well with Mick.

But if that's all it is he needs to get the **** over it.

Yarran looks disinterested, overweight and extremely lazy this year. I know Yarran looks very laconic in his play but this year he just looks like he wants to be somewhere else.

Wouldn't be against trading him if the right deal came a long.

His kicking is reminiscent of Daisy's when recovering from his ankle injury. He just fluffs them and almost gets under them and puts them too high. He doesnt bullet pass them like he used to. His turnovers really hurt us last night.

With all the shit going on at the Gold Coast wouldn't touch Dixon and Dixon is over rated.

Don't mean to pick you out, HCJ, but Yarran always gets hypothetically traded to WA.

I thought I'd read (on here?) that he's glad he 'made it out' and that's the last place he'd go.

Could be making this up though....purple monkey dishwasher

I dont know where all this negativity regarding Yazz's kicking is coming from. I still see him nail perfect passes regularly in a game. He has the ability to perfectly hit players on the run, or put it just over the opposition onto a Blue chest. I can think of two examples in my mind from our game against the dogs on Saturday night where I went "wow what a kick". Are we really bagging him for the two or three he gets wrong. We cant expect him to have 100% effeciency surely? He's allowed a clanger or two if he also has the ability to set up a goal with a perfect kick. Two sides of a coin and yaz has the ability to make it land on heads the majority of the time.
