I guess now that Carlisle has gone I can go back to barracking for WADA. Can't help but think that, as we have no EFC players on our list, they'll all get off with zero penalty.:)
Just read about Carlisles knee tendonitis issues. Could be a huge management issue.

Surely we were only ever going to take him in the PSD and who knows it may still happen

How is Casboult only worth a 4 pick upgrade?
Why are we even thinking about trading him in the first place should be the real question.

Jed Lamb and now Ben Lennon!!!!
My excitement for season 2016 just grows and grows.............:rolleyes::drunk:

Just out of interest to see where everyone stands, if you could choose from Treloar or Carlisle for the PSD who would you prefer?

With Carlisle* quite possibly being rubbed out for 2 years, and being a bit of a sook, I'd lean toward Treloar now that the Pies deal is stumbling. And would think that if a few of his mates were heading to Carlton already, joining Jaksch and Whiley, that might be enough to get him to think about going into the PSD... SOS's cunning plan all along?
Is this a trick question?

This is what i can imagine happening if the rumoured trades eventuate:

Henderson, 20 and 56 for 9, 46 and walker

bell and casboult for pick 19

yarran for pick 18 from hawks (or yaz and 19 for pick 12 and 32 from tigs)

18 for tomlinson and lamb

19 for plowman sumner and phillips

Go to draft with: 1 (weitering) 9 (matheison/weideman type) 38 (rice) 46 (SOSOS)

2016 lineup:

Buckley Jamison Tuohey
Docherty weitering Plowman
Simpson Gibbs Boekhorst
Daisy Tomlinson Menzel
Everitt Walker Jaksh
Kruezer Murphy Cripps
Graham Curnow Sumner walker

Emergencies: pick 9 White lamb rowe whiley etc

Not a bad looking lineup really? simpson jamison and andrew walker are the ageing types that need replacing soon, with likely types being brought in to cover for them in the future
Some of those trades are pure losses for us.

Henderson and 38 for pick 9 (or the pick the Geebungs get in return from Adelaide for the Dangerfield trade... 13 I think it is) and pick 46 would be a fair trade... they can keep Josh Walker.

Bell and Casboult to GC17? for their compo pick at 19? I don't think that they will go for that... but if it floats, good luck to the club. I would think that Essendon*'s desperation for a decentish ruckman could see them putting Leuenburger into a band 3 compensation pick area (after Brisbane's second round pick) which would give them pick 22. I would say Casboult and Bell to Brisbane, if we were trading Cas and he wants to go, in exchange for picks 21 and 22.

Yazz and pick 19 for Richmonds pick 12 and Lennon... otherwise... Yazz for pick 18 from Hawthorn... and maybe one of their fringe mids.

Pick 19 (if we don't use it to get Lennon from Richmond or if we do the trade with Brisvegas, pick 20) to GWS for Tomlinson and Lamb
One of picks 20, 21, or 22 to GWS for Plowman, Sumner, and Phillips (if we do the trade with GC17, it's pick 20)

We might also end up with a third round pick for Warnock (though I doubt it) from * if they don't get Leuenberger.

We could end up going to the draft with the following picks:

1, 9 (or 13), 12 (or 18 if we do the deal with the Dawks), one of picks 20, 21, 22 (if we deal with Brisbane), 46.

46 for Rice and 56 for SSOS would be an ideal situation for us concerning our F/S selections so long as Bailey doesnt pick the aints and no one else bids on them.

EDIT: Forgot to mention that we might try and get Mayes out of Brisvegas, along with picks 21 and 22, as part of the deal for Bell and Cas (if Cas agrees to go).

Lamb will come cheap and fills a hole in our current side (small forward).

I know I keep harping on about this but he will be a good get. Sick of seeing our supporter base write someone off before they've even arrived at the club  Especially when most haven't even seen him play...
Lamb will be Ellards replacement. If he is better than Tutt he will improve our list. I'm warming to the idea of him joining us.

I hear Sumner failed his medical, even b4 that I wasn't excited about him. Hopefully we don't waste our time/list space/draft picks on him.

I can't say I'm shattered that Carlisle has nominated the St Kilda as his preferred destination. In response I have composed a limerick to convey my feelings.

A confident man named Carlisle
Considered the Blues for awhile
But along came St Kilda
With plenty of guilder
To pay for his upcoming trial

Well they do have to get a deal done with Essendon first
