Firstly when did Essendon* recieve pick 5 and secondly, I would remove SOS's nuts and wear them around my neck for a whole cricket season if he agreed to that.
Haha. I was just having a stab in the dark like everyone else on here. But it's funny how quickly some people believe something because it's posted on here.
I'm stumped trying to think who we would be after from Essendon or vice versa. The only thing I could think of was that. To tell you the truth I wouldn't be too disappointed to swap pick one for two top five picks. But that could only work if they did get pick 5 from the saints.
Would u not take Francis and say Curnow over Weitering ? I'd certainly entertain it.

No, I'm just thinking next year as per Henderson.

I think we'd happily accept Richmond's first next year if push came to shove. Whether we had to use it this year though...............

ok Thanks.

I could handle next year's first pick for Yarran...for all sorts of reasons:D
and yeah I am getting the feeling a lot of 'innovation' is coming re how Club's use their traded next year picks...

I feel it may be easier for The Tigers to relinquish next years first than it would be this years................it's an easier sell......for now.

May not happen but it somehow just feels right :)

Where we the first Club to score a 2016 (next year's) first rounder?
Kinda sets a precedent doesn't it ? - A kind of benchmark or standard trade ;)I mean most would agree that Yarran>Henderson or at least equal to...Henderson is no monster KPP so forget that argument...Yarran is a sook - who would be dynamite if supported y a proper fast spreading midfield - giving him options...It suits opposition to talk down a players ability and fit and talk up the same player's shortcomings..as if we are selling 'short comings'...makes me laugh Yarran is a first rounder for sure OR not worth trading.

Isn't Kerridge just more of the what we have. Fringe mid. Is he better than Graham, Holman, Curnow, Whiley and enough better to give up pick 38?
Up until this year Graham was a VFL player, a new coach and a fresh start and he looks like a good player, same could be said for a lot of our targets so it could be worth a shot, he showed promise in 13 and 14

Just out of curiosity. The draft is in Adelaide on the 24th of November. For those of you have been to previous drafts, is it worth attending?
Ehhhhhh, I went to one on the Gold Coast a couple of years ago. Mildly interesting, but it's over pretty quickly and it's not really a "spectacle" or a "show". Better off watching on tele I reckon.

Just an idea, dont see much too it though: Saints give us 5 for geelongs first next year and 17/20/21 or whatever we get. They ontrade geelongs to essendon for carlisle and still keep a late first rounder/early second we get 5 and still have a second round pick so probably end up with 1,5,20. Enables us to target Francis or Curnow. Essendon flogs complaining this draft is shallow so send them a 1st round pick next year. thoughts?

Haven't been but previously it would have been murmoring then name calls, I honestly don't get why the NFL gets such fanfare at the event; must have a party sites around the place.

All of that said, this year the AFL is moving to an electronic selection process using some new software, so it's going to be peak boring.

I don't think Lennon wants us...........and that's O.K. Things change.

Aish doesn't want us either apparently........but that may change also........mmm, maybe not.
Agree on Aish but there is something fishy with the Lennon situation. And we must have serious $ left in salary cap.

Warnock was on massive bucks (comedy from Carlton), Carrots was a top 3 player when he last re-signed and on very good $. Judd, Henderson, Yarran! That's a few million right there

They make a big deal of it because college football is so huge there, the exposure to the kids is massive, everyone knows every kid in their draft, they know as much about the kids as they know about the NFL players, so it's more exciting for them. We kind of know about the top ten picks , but mostly we're guessing and hoping...

Oh I get all of that, I meant actually attending the draft. It's incredibly boring to watch without all the highlights and analysis.

I think it will be an easier sell to make Lennon out as the money grabbing bad guy! That's a much easier sell than a first round draft pick
