Jed Anderson pick 15
Chris Yarran pick 19

Am I in a fantasy land??????
We need to stop comparing other teams trades to ours. North were prepared to give 15 because they saw a glaring need for what Anderson can give them. What North paid for Anderson or what Brisbane pay for "player x" holds no relevance on the perceived value of our trades. Lets wait to the END of trade period to determine if we have been bent over or have made out like bandits.. if we get 19 for Yarran then turn that into Tomlinson would that make a difference?? 'ken oath it would. LETS WAIT AND SEE PEOPLE.

Does anyone else think the club might believe Menz will be a flight risk throughout his career? I can only assume (hope) that's the main reason we'd be entertaining this.

I'm not against trading him but not for that rubbish deal.
With his manager coming out and saying "Never say never" in regards to Menzel, it might suggest that he, Menzel, might be talked into a big money contract move at the end of next season.

I feel sick about the Menzel thing.

All these players leaving or potentially leaving because of "attitude" problems. Maybe it's the parlous environment, and not the players?

How about we keep the skilful, contracted ones and fix the environment?
You bring up a fine point... has Fev really scarred us that badly... ???

Is it at the point now where a player who doesn't want to be at the Blues anymore now can see the precedent that they have to develop an attitude and we'll willingly let them go?

There will come a time where as a club we're going to have to stop pandering to these "I suddenly have an attitude problem" players and be tough and back our coaches to set them on the straight and narrow.

This is just so wrong...
-We aren't looking to SOS as the messiah, we are looking to him to list manage.

-Which core players have we "lost"? Henderson and Yarran wanted out and have been heavily criticised by the majority of posters all year for their pea hearts and lack of pride in the jumper. Bell is the one we'd like to keep but requested to go home for family reasons and pick 21 isa reasonable result considering the situation.

-Nothing has happened with Menzel yet

The hysteria and SOS bashing are embarrassing considering he hasn't even finished his first trade week yet. And just on the Menzel trade, are you really going to sit there and say SOS needs to be seen doing something in the eyes of others to validate himself and conjure a trade for trades sake? Maybe is it more likely that he is privy to certain things that you aren't regarding Menzel and views trading him as the best thing for the club? FWIW I hope Troy does stay but wow it's pretty obvious that if they move on a talented youngster who is also contracted there is more going on behind the scenes
If we're looking at SOS to list manage, he better get a move on! He's got less than 48 hours to deliver something positive that ADDS VALUE to our club. That's what list managing is, right?
You prefer to stick to facts and not speculation? That's fair, will do... Henderson gone, Yarran all but gone, Bell gone, menzal on the chopping block... In:??????????? Maybe, maybe some kids from GWs, and maybe a Crows player who can't get a game at the Crows...
And yes ! Absolutely I think they will do a deal just for the sake of being seen to do deals, they need to justify their pay packet and position, they haven't so far...
And ok, I'll wait til SOS' first trade period is done, 45 hours, 18 mins and counting...

When will this club do what every other successful club has done and get as many top draft picks and build a team not go after other clubs recycled players.....
When our supporters stop whinging and whining about any little thing about the club that upsets them.

Believe in SOS to do the right thing for the club that he loves!

Well that is true, just bec they got 19 doesn't mean we have to accept it.
But remember also Mckay said we'd be doing deals where what we get we trade on to another club for something else.
SOS is either stockpiling picks to use for other trades or to use them in the draft.
I still hold hope of landing Tomlinson. If these picks we are stockpiling gets him to the club plus Plowman and we keep pick 1 then we have done well.

"A few stalemates appear to be over. Charlie Dixon has got his wish and been traded to Port Adelaide. Gold Coast will get pick 10, as well as two second round draft choices in exchange for the big forward.

Richmond will get pick 19, which it is likely to send to Carlton for Chris Yarran. A deal which will send Essendon utility Jake Carlisle to St Kilda also appears imminent."

man that pick 19 gets around.

#19. Richmond. (traded from Gold Coast, received from Greater Western Sydney via a trade in 2012; traded to the Giants by Fremantle in 2011; originally received by the Dockers as compensation for Rhys Palmer)

the muppets on trade radio Barrett and Terry Wallet reckon pick 19 is overs for Yarran and then say what a good acquisition he'll make for the Tigers. Jebus.
