Well, think about player ratings what you want but when you use them, do it right. Not just pick a random number. Nick Riewohlt is hot because he had a good game the last time we meet (which actually was an pretty odd upset) while Walters is hot because of his last 4 weeks? Sandilands has a low average against St. Kilda? Since when? Played that resting game in 2013 coming of a smashed face but got 3 votes in 2012. Had 2 good games including votes back in 2010. Or do they date it back further?

Other games examples similar stupid. Study math or keep away from statistics...

Could really need a statistical standard in AFL. So often stats to make a point get picked from a random number of games. Something like "Pav kicked 11 from his last 5 games". Well yes, he, did, but he also kicked 11 from his last 8 games...

Just watched Talking Footy. Hello!!?? Pointy end of the season. Ladder leaders 10 points clear. Some players coming back, some under injury cloud. Showed signs of earlier season form....etc etc. Fremantle not even mentioned. Now I know we are "Flying under the radar" but really, are we in the twilight zone? The VICs r pissed and we don't exist.

"And what of the Dockers? Surely there haven't been too many teams top of the ladder for as long as this mob have yet still with as few fanciers of their flag prospects. Sure, Fremantle's blistering earlyseason form hasn't been seen for some time now. But the wins keep coming, Sunday's eclipse of St Kilda as eff icient as all their other recent victories, the gap between Ross Lyon's side and the rest now a yawning 10 points and a 16-2 record the sort of stat that would ordinarily inspire unbackable premiership favouritism. You can't help but feel that if Freo bowls over West Coast next week, a few pundits might start jumping back on the bandwagon."

We're not, we're just not a Vic team so no one cares.

Every week they just regurgitate the same old crap over and over again, they'd continue to talk about the Essendon drug problem and try their best to dig up something about Carlton/Collingwood before talking about Fremantle. The show should be renamed 'Talking Victorian Footy'.

I find we get hardly any coverage on OTC and when we do it's usually about 30 seconds.
Did they even mention our game last night? I had it on in the background when I was doing other things, waiting for them to mention our game, but I didn't hear a thing. Usually they cover each game, albeit only briefly for blah games.

Great to see they have produced a balanced assessment of the game. ;)

Fossie:
2. The Eagles will win if Nic Naitanui plays. That simple. o_O

The People's Elbo:
1. Adam Simpson-coached West coast sides have kicked 30.36 in three losses to Fremantle, which has kicked 41.26. So the Dockers have won by a combined total of 55 points although they have had just one extra scoring shot.

Presto:
2. West Coast has been the better team since Fremantle's 30-point round three derby win and on that form deserves to start favourite. But the Eagles are currently $2.15 with TAB. The Dockers are clear $1.70 favourites.

I just dont understand the stupidity of that article. Ah well lets just keep humble and get this W on the board. As RTB says we want more W's than L's.

Nope, pretty sure they didn't mention our game. Mentioned that we had top spot 'sewn up' when J. Brown put forward his prediction for the final eight. They focussed on who out of WC / Hawks would get second, who would get fourth and who would round out the eight. Totally understandable really, given the look of the ladder.

I like OTC - I find it generally balanced and well rounded and they do tend to talk about inter-state teams.

I find Brown and Dunstall's obsession with 'power forwards' a little tedious and they all tend to be on the 'football is ruined, lets change the rules bandwagon' which is annoying. It was refreshing to see Shaun Higgins say he thinks football now is great and they should leave the rules alone.

Pretty sure it's from WAToday.com - http://www.watoday.com.au/afl/afl-n...days-dockerseagles-clash-20150810-givujg.html

The panel is from WA:

The panel:
Nick Alviani (Radio 6PR Drive producer); Brendan Foster (WAtoday's resident grumpy old man); Brad Elborough (WAtoday sports writer); David Prestipino (WAtoday wine writer, footy tragic).

Meh, who cares what they say now - see what happens Sunday
