I love how Sandi always seems to step up against the best ruckmen, like some sort of reminder that he's still the most dominant even he hasn't had the better year.
But he has had the better year. Especially considering in half the games he's gone to pasture in the second half. Notice on Sunday in the last quarter when the game was slowed down Sandilands spent almost the whole quarter as a forward.

As many contested marks as the next two ruckmen put together and gets so little credit.

Sandilands easily has them covered for marks, but Naitanui's ruckwork has probably been better than anyone's this year, while Goldstein will probably get the All-Australian nod on sheer weight of numbers.

Overall for 2015 I'd rank them

1 - Goldstein
2 - Sandi
3 - Naitanui

Pretty sure it's from WAToday.com - http://www.watoday.com.au/afl/afl-n...days-dockerseagles-clash-20150810-givujg.html

The panel is from WA:

The panel:
Nick Alviani
(Radio 6PR Drive producer); Brendan Foster (WAtoday's resident grumpy old man); Brad Elborough (WAtoday sports writer); David Prestipino (WAtoday wine writer, footy tragic).

Meh, who cares what they say now - see what happens Sunday

Brendan Foster lives in South Freo and is a one-eyed weag - I used to be quite good mates with his partner (she's way nicer than he is). He worked for the Freo Herald for years and used to diss the Dockers on a regular basis; copped a bit of flak over the journey. Mostly did cafe reviews, however, with just the odd sports piece. The Freo Herald isn't well-known for it's top class sports journalism, so his writing was the perfect fit.

Article about Weller on the AFL site.
Interesting piece. His mrs is moving to Perth soon it seems.

In 2014, AFL.com.au's Going Places series tracked four players through the year on their way to the draft. This week, we check in to see how each has handled his debut season.

Fremantle did not allow Lachie Weller to be interviewed for this piece.

JUDE Weller found it hard to concentrate on the game. Fremantle was playing Greater Western Sydney, but for the first three quarters, she spent most of the time looking at the bench.

Her youngest son, Lachie, was in the Dockers' substitute vest, and she could tell he was desperate to get involved. "The number of times he warmed up, stretched and got his calves rubbed, I thought he'd get out on the ground and collapse," Jude said.

Interesting that we didn't allow him to be interviewed for the piece?

Off the field, he has found his first year away from home a breeze. He spent a few weeks living with teammate Lee Spurr, before joining fellow draftee Ed Langdon in a host family set-up organised by the club.

A couple of months ago, Weller, Langdon and another first-year Docker, Connor Blakely, moved into their own place closer to Fremantle.

Weller misses his family – his parents now live in Melbourne near Mav, and his eldest brother Tyson is based in Queensland – but he likes Perth and his girlfriend Nicola will soon move over.

Last week he had the ridiculously good looking article written about him. I reckon the club were protecting their player.
Clearly stolen from our Girl Talk thread too.

I also think this article was written the day after our game, so it's not too fair making our kids interview on their days off.

1 watched footy fix for the first and last time.Four Eagle tossers in a West Coast wankfest for the first 20 minutes was vomit inducing.Showing the Eagles singing their crappy song in the first few minutes you just Knew what was going to transpire. And as for Daniel Kerr who gives a flying fart what he thinks or is up to.

I saw it too Salim and it was sure up there with Eagle Vison as the worst television ever produced. Daniel Kerr sounded like he had just smoked a packet of Marlboro Reds before walking onto the set. Interesting though that he tipped us to not only to win the derby, but the flag as well.

He also gave Troy Cook a very big wrap.

When they asked him about the tainted premiership back in 2006, he said that he was amazed that they won the flag that year given what they were doing off field. He said that what they did certainly didn't help their on field performance, quite the opposite really given the partying and recreational drugs they all took.

At least he was honest, but boy does he have some issues.
