These are their players above 191cm

Ruck: Sandilands (32)
Ruck/Forward: Clarke (Shit)
Ruck: Griffin (29)
Ruck/Forward: Hannath (24 and played 18 games)
Defender: Pearce (13 games, looks okay)
Forward: Apeness (2 games, developing slowly but just 20)
Forward: Taberner (28 mediocre games)
Defender: Dawson (29)
Defender: Smith (Rookie)
Defender: Johnson (31)
Defender: Hurley (Rookie)
Forward: Pavlich (33)
Midfielder: Mundy

Defender: Silvagni (28 and played 48 games, appears to be backup only)

Red are players who are too old. The rest are literally rookies or relatively shit backup.

They will soon have a spine of: Smith - Pearce - Hannath - Taberner - Apeness

Backup of: Clarke, Silvagni, Hurley (who?). That's it.

Over the next two years they need to draft or trade in at least two tall forwards, two tall defenders, and a ruckman. Really they should have picked up these players in the last few drafts.

Picks this year in a shit draft? 22, 35, 61
Great analysis!

Imo, not trading in a Kpp this year or previous years has shut their premiership window, as they will have too many tall retirements in 2016 to replace easily... & have little apart from Pearce who look likely.

Where is Lyon heading in 2017 ;)

Carlton Outs: Judd, Carrazzo, Yarran, Henderson, Bell, Menzel.

Carlton Ins: Sumner, Phillips, Lamb, Plowman, Kerridge.

So they finished bottom, lost 6 of their top 10 players and replaced them with reserves footballers.

Could get seriously ugly for the Blues this year. Like mid 90s Fitzroy ugly.

The question has to be asked about Brendon Bolton already. He had been appointed coach and working behind the scenes for two months before trade week yet failed to attract any experience to the club and was unable to prevent a whole lot of experience walking out.

yep you guys on bigfooty know exactly what is going on with Franklin - psyhic mind readers the lot of you -

i don't give a one slightest damn if AFL players snort coke or drop pills - and as long as they have control over their habit, no one else should care either...
Part of me would rather the players be on Coke over drinking booze. Yes it is illegal and the suppliers cause a lot of harm in society.

Alcohol affects their game more than Coke and thus our chances of winning.

I would be more outraged if a player was drinking to excess and overeating than snorting a few lines of Coke.

Wonder how Bryce Gibbs is feeling about turning his back on free agency now. He'd fit in nicely on our half back line right now.

Don't understand why of all the guys they could trade, they kept him. Won't be a part of the next premiership, get some value for him and some good picks!

Probably tried to offload him, but his salary too high?

Personally think he is too far gone now to want him here for the $$s he would want.

Eddie was a star at Carlton. Gibbs is nothing but a plodding stat padder.

I don't know, Gibbs is comfortable, he enjoys being mediocre. Probably lacks the drive to get the best out of himself, hence why he sticks around Carlton.

The club is ready to take the hit now. They have a lot of top draft picks to get the talent in. This is the strategy they have gone with. They have got some average players in that have some experience so they don't turn into Melbourne. They'll have to live with their decision either way it goes

I think that's it, they are gonna do it properly for once and rebuild! Fairly new Pres, CEO(wtf), list manager and coach..... They have a little bit of currency and will hope the backlash won't be as hard
