Agreed - he would be mad to go to Geelong now, they are a spent force after such a long time at the top. If this was 3 years ago, no one would question it. But Adelaide seem to have so much more upside than Geelong at present.
One abc radio one of the commentators called next weeks game the Dangerfield cup.

I do not want to play Richmond, they are our bogey side and always get up for us.
Dogs are the most preferable, then swans then Tiges but all three are going to be tough to beat (ofc its a final:drunk:)

You suggested it. Why do you think we'd throw away 2nd to play a side who we have no home advantage over when a win gives us a match against a side that has to travel

It would be beyond stupid
Maybe you think you have form against us and not the hawks. The hawks did beat you last time they played you here and we didnt.

Yup. Doesn't make sense at all.
There is no reason for WC to lose the home advantage you worked the entire season for. Considering you will likely meet Hawthorne or Sydney in the finals, better in Subi now than in Melbourne or Sydney later.

Everyone really prefer Sydney week one ? 100 point win coming up here for them. They look much better with buddy back in
Buddy did nothing today. Will be surprised if he can get back to form this year with that back issue. No Parker and now no Smith really hurts Sydney. They also don't play well at Subiaco.

Be good to dish out some payback for last years QF. No hubris or anything but I'd be pretty confident in a Freo win for the reasons you outline.

Would the eags throw the saints game to play us in the QF?
I hope so. They will learn a hard lesson if they do.

Congrats to the Eagles for their win in the most recent Derby but if their fans think that is reflective of what will happen in a rematch, they have another thing coming. It was obvious that the two teams went into that game with a different intensity and different objectives in mind. Had that game meant anything to us it would have been a different result.

That's just my opinion though and that of many an observer.
