Absolutely. I was given an insight into a normal training session the other day. Each player is given an individualized program at this particular club to the extent that player A is told they are going to run 2.35 km today whereas player B will run 3.75 km. They are pulled off the track as soon as this distance is met in the GPS. The scrutinisation is remarkable. As you say diets are strictly monitored, sleep, everything.
Yeah.

But EFC* kept no records of what was injected. Luckily they know it wasn't anything harmful, or illegal, or performance enhancing, or detrimental to players health, or banned by WADA.

The greatest amusement to me is that they blame Dank for doing all of this , yet have never taken him to court or had him charged.

But he was allowed at the VFL game talking to the support club.

Do they really think people are that stupid and guilable?

Cause that would mean an admission of guilt. If they get done then I expect him to get sued. But to what end? They've already spent 15 million on all this they'll be lucky to get 1 million out of Dank and probably less - because I'm sure if any heat is applied all of a sudden his wife will own their house :)

I was involved in a high level sport in the 90's (world champ level) and we never had this level of management. It would be mind numbing. I truly reckon we really have lost sight of what "sport" actually is.
I reckon Ross Lyon has got a good approach to this - heard him talking - he said Monday is a free day - doesnt go to the club (thats his day off) - doesnt want any players at the club - encourages them to study - (Pavlich has got honours in about 3 different subjects etc) or do a trade or something positive- but Monday is a football free day at the Dockers

Agree these poor guys have to eat sleep and breathe footy. also watched the final kelly and stokes interview about going out and constructing a real tight team bond.

all for players being able to go out and enjiy myself especially with 2 even 3 bye rounds. 35weeks a year including preseason is a long time to stay focused and the discipline they show is admirable. Especially the young ones, Im 21 and I look forward to nights out and they shouldnt be taken away with bans and curfews.

Hope one day footballers can get there social lives back without the media breathing down their backs.

To be fair there's a real good reason to encourage bans on nights out and Alchohol. Some people can easily live without them, to have drunk idiots out there taunting you and potentially causing a fight shows why most club don't like the idea of players going to clubs.
Not to mention the effects of drinking on your body especially if you're injuried.

I'm sure their salaries compensates them from destroying their brain cells and reducing their recovery time because they can't handle abit of responsibility to their bodies and club image.

If Buddy was to not recover from his Illness and decides to retire will that leave 7 million dollar hole in the Sydney Salary Cap .....the AFL have stated that his entire contract is to be paid / included in the salary cap over the length of the contract.

Could be disaster for the Swans that being said Get Well Soon Buddy the football world will miss you

Any else think tomorrow nights final is almost the most important game of the finals in terms of the potential grand finalists?
And then an extension of that means NicNat is the most important player... he wasn't playing last time they met and the Hawks only just got up, if Eagles win the chance of the derby GF is huge

Yeah, if the Dawks win then you'd have to put the flag favouritism in their court as they'll get the Prelim at the MCG. The WCE really need to do us all a favour and win this one.
