As Bomber kept saying Freo, Hawthorn, and Sydney have a lot of old guys but as they are playing well no one talks about it.
But gee whiz, our reliance on Kelly, Stokes, Rivers, McIntosh, Johnson to win games is NOTHING compared to Mitchell, Hodge, Hale, Lake, Burgoyne, Gibson, Lewis.
Hale and Harris the only two on that list uncontracted for 2016 I think.Lewis might even be contracted for 2017.

Reading the Hawthorn autopsy thread has made me all warm and happy inside.
Listen to SEN this morning..its been a long time that the smugness of Derm has been replaced by a grumpy snarly Derm. Love it. Welcome to what the rest of feel you spoilt ex player.

Bulldogs or Crows; who's got the better chance of beating Hawthorn?

I say Bulldogs, mainly because of their speed but also because I want the Crows GONESKI!!!!
Pity its not Richmond or North - Richmond dont fear them at all and could send them packing in straight sets

Even Nth Melb - who beat them last year - and have generally got a a pretty competitive record against them - would fancy their chances

But Footscray and The Crows - 2 of the biggest light weights of all time - Hawthorn will destroy either - the the Hawks get Freo over there

Chris Scott said it last night on Fox Footy last night after the game - Hawks will have no trouble getting past Crows or Dogs - they" walloped " ( his words) Freo last time and will fancy their chances- he then said they will back themselves in - in the GF

Biggest certainty of all time in sports betting - West Coast v Hawthorn GF - ( Hawks last qtr was allright - those baaarstards arent dead yet)

Their team last night had an average age of 27 years and 254 days. Good morning demographic cliff
Yes the end is in sight,I'd say Hale will play out the season now and that will be him, they will most likely hold on to Lake for one more year even if they didn't want to they were exposed down back last night, unless it's Shoenclangers they don't have a replacement and the rest of the old farts are contracted.End of next year all the little ducks walk off the cliff followed closely by Clarko. :):):D:D:thumbsu::thumbsu:

Nup. If Fremantle win today, Hawthorn can't knock 'em off in a prelim over there. Dockers will be rested and primed. Hawthorn will be missing their leading goal kicker and likely Smith next week. They gambled everything on winning last night and it failed. They badly needed the week off - reminiscent of us playing a cooked SJ in last year's QF praying for a win and when it didn't happen we were flat as a pancake the following week.
