yo sblack

Since your avatar is McCoy and your usertitle is #shady, just thought i'd help you out by giving you a new avatar to use representing the Eagles best weapon on offense:
You have an Orakpo jersey dont you? Might need to get a new player soon

Do you want Moore back at FS?

He would be next best FA safety?
Secretly I thought we were going to get McCourty. It's the exact kind of move we have made in recent years. Good work by NE

I would certainly take Moore back, but I think he will be too expensive. Apparently we have a plan, it's a little concerning though as we have a few holes now and there are not many players left on FA.

I wonder if we think that Bolden, Carter or Webster are the answer.

Our biggest needs are DT, G, FS, TE and T. I think Kube can get production out of marginal talents. I think we will be ok if Green re-signs (if he doesn't it is a worry). FS is a major concern if Moore leaves. Hopefully Pot Roast re-signs even though he is not a perfect fit in Phillips scheme

Look, it's evident that your English skills aren't top notch, so let me break it down for you in an easy to understand manner.

1) I pointed out the fact that Byron Maxwell is now a top 5 paid CB, and that out of the top 10 highest paid CBs, he's the only one who has never been a true starting #1 CB
2) You tried to deflect that by talking about the salary cap, as if Brandon Carr or Jonathan Joseph are going to get $80 million deals when they hit FA. In your attempt at a deflection, you asked if I wanted sock puppets to explain it.
3) Making a joke/comment about how your #1 WR is now Riley Cooper, I replied that you are sure to have plenty of sock puppets lying around.
4) Apparently that means I have now linked your CB's to your WR's via sock puppets in your mind.

But as everyone with half a brain knows, 1 + 1 does not = 3.
This is getting beyond comical. Defend that red herring chad! Defend it with your life!

I think we're actually in agreement here.

I think we agree that:

1. You began a commentary on our cb signing.

2. You were advised that comparing salaries is not a sensible exercise at this point, because an increase in the salary cap will obviously have an inflationary effect on salaries. You had been advised this before.

3. You failed to meaningfully engage in this point, preferring to instead direct your response at our wide receiver corp.

4. You do not believe that we signed a cornerback because of wide receiver corp.

Here's the thing though: you seem to think point 4 is the damning point. I don't.

Will be interesting to see McCourty figures and see what Moore is demanding then. I'm sure he would've loved if DM went to Eagles or Giants though because they were apparently offering more $

EDIT: This guy is absolutely nothing but if the figures are roughly there

Better source now :p

On the plus side Chad, atleast we're finally acknowledging that 20 year old movies add more to the discussion than any content you create.
Now we just need you to stop burying your head in the sand and using the salary cap going up as an excuse to justify paying a #2 CB like a top 5 #1 CB.

How can you realistically label him a #2CB when hes been playing next to the best CB in the league for 3 years

Theres no evidence to say hes a 2 or a 1. Talent is on tape though and it wasn't just us offering him big money, so the scouts obviously believe he can be a 1

With facts? As you said, Richard Sherman is the #1 CB there. So by definition, he's a #2.

Does that mean he's not talented? No. I've never said that. But name me the last #2 CB to transition to a #1 CB after changing teams and to do it with any modicum of success...

He hasnt had the chance to play as a #1 though ... By definition hes been playing next to the best, so in any other team he could've been the 1

DRC came from a shit year with us as a '2' and had a very good year with Denver

Keenan Lewis from Pitt to NO

Two off my head

Champ Bailey was the #1 in the year DRC was in Denver
DRC has never been a #1 CB either

Keenan Lewis? Not a strong example...
