Thought this was going to run alot more smoother than it is.
New system, very finicky - always going to be some teething problems.
Let's hope the clubs themselves don't screw it up

We should finish the first round by the actual rookie draft...
Can someone confirm or otherwise that we are regarding "assumed" bids on Mills and Hopper
are legitimate and matched. If we are doing this, it should be done correctly guys.
"I shocked to still be sitting here"Meanwhile Callum Mills is thinking "what the hell?"
had a good look a melbournes list they have a good group of key defenders and a some real potential depth through the midfield. as I picked francis at 3 i feel as though i need to go with a key forward to help hogan for the next decade. the obvious pick would seem to be weideman but i havent seen that much if him and i really rate this guy.
Pick 7 - Harrison McKay (VIC – KPF/RUCK)
Height: 200cm, Weight: 85kg, DOB: 24/12/1997
Recruited from: Gippsland Power
Profile: Developing athletic tall forward.
he is underage, good skills, mobile and most of all for me is very competitive and doesnt shirk a contest. in my opinion he is what you need in a forward. with dawes & pederson still at melbourne he will be given the time to develop as it could take 3-4 years before he shows his worth. still think he will be a star.
Think we need to sort out this Academy stuff, folks - I'll be matching the earlier bid on Hopper at pick 4, but whether Mills has attracted a bid or not affects whether I'm giving up Pick 10 or Pick 11, which then flows on to how many points need to be used from later picks.
If we're doing this it should be one pick at a time, and an Academy bid should be clearly marked: PICK 4 - ACADEMY BID: Jacob Hopper with the Academy club then given time to match or reject. Once that's done, the original club can then revise their pick.
Thoughts? Do we need a do-over?
Did anyone read post #2? The one outlining how we should go about this?
i.e. Place the bid on the Academy player and tag-in the poster that's representing the team of that Academy player allowing him/her to bid on him.
That player just has to say I'll take him or I'l let him go. Jeremias will then adjust the points accordingly.
In the interest of getting this "on track", can I offer:
Naturally pending Jeremias selection before my Adelaide offering.
I will be going out for a few hours soon so
Would be bidding for best available mid as a potential "elite" Dangerfield replacement.
In order Adelaide will be bidding for
Mills
Hopper
Kennedy
Keays
If this allows the ship to be "righted" while I am out to be indicative of a realistic draft, please do so.
if not, I will do it individually through to process when I return.

That's my concern, Harks - I reckon there's a little confusion around Academy bids, probably because most of us have pretty much ignored them as draft prospects anyway as we know we're not getting them.
I can't really see Mills getting bid on after the GWS guys, hence the concern about the flow-on effects.
Do we want to start fresh with a couple of copy + paste jobs from earlier bids, provided everyone is now up-to-speed?
We don't know for sure whether the picks here, would have by-passed the Academy guys. Maybe Melbourne would have selected McKay over Mills or Hopper.
We're not really trying to get this into some perfect order, but rather allow the teams to get what they wanted and that may not have really changed.
Let's just do it right from here on in but who know? Jeremias may have had his eye on Curnow no matter what..............Let's let it ride and we're all a little clearer from here on in.
No worries.
In that case - Blugazi's earlier bid on Hopper at Pick 4 is formally being matched using Pick 10 and change.
